Dallas Ebola Nurse: CDC Told Me OK To Fly

by JASmius

I don't know, folks.  Either every single last minion of the Obama Regime is a certified psychopath, or maybe they really are using the ebola pandemic as a distraction from something else.  Although "from which one?" would be a good question, as they have so many FUBARS orbiting them down the midterm drain at this point that the very multiplicity of them, like crowd noise at a football stadium, generates its own collective "white noise".

One thing you can say about this story: the Obama CDC can't blame Texas Presbyterian Hospital for the "protocol" breach this time:

An official for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said late Wednesday that the agency cleared a second Dallas nurse diagnosed with Ebola for travel on Monday because she had no symptoms of the deadly disease.

CDC spokesman David Daigle says Amber Joy Vinson, 29, spoke with a CDC official responsible for monitoring her health before she boarded the flight from Cleveland to Dallas on Monday.

Daigle said Vinson reported her temperature was below 100.4 degrees and that she had no symptoms. Ebola sufferers aren't contagious until they show symptoms.

The official said she could board Frontier Airlines Flight 1143. She was among 132 passengers aboard.

Fever is one of the symptoms of ebola, actually.  It can also be symptomatic of any number of other maladies, but in the current situation, wouldn't a "don't take any chances" stance be prudent?  Err on the side of caution, as it were?

Besides, it's not as if the nurse wasn't being more conscientious than the CDC:

In fact, she called the CDC several times before boarding the plane concerned about her fever, according to a report from CBS News Medical Correspondent Dr. John LaPook.

"This nurse, Nurse Vinson, did in fact call the CDC several times before taking that flight and said she has a temperature, a fever of 99.5 — and the person at the CDC looked at a chart and because her temperature wasn’t 100.4 or higher, she didn’t officially fall into the category of high risk," he said.

I wonder if the CDC is going to adjust that body temperature threshold downward to 99.5 after this latest f-up.  Nah, probably not.  Especially seeing as how Nurse Vinson is black, and thus cannot be held accountable or responsible for anything, on account of it would be "racist" to do so.

The CDC's criminal negligence doesn't let her off the hook entirely, in any case, as given the fact that (1) she's a nurse, (2) she was one of the hospital staff who treated "Ebola Tom" and (2) she had to be aware of her colleague, Nina Pham, had already contracted ebola, when she started running the slightest fever, she had a professional, fiduciary responsibility to quarantine herself to the greatest extent possible as a necessary precaution.  If it turned out to be a cold or a slight case of the Cygnian flu or whatever, so much the better, but better to be safe than sorry, right?

It almost sounds like the CDC went out of its way to talk her into taking her trip to Cleveland.  Would it have killed this woman to postpone it a few weeks?  How would that have generated any public stir?  Surely her going anyway and then coming down with ebola after all these phony-baloney plastic banana "what, us worry?" assurances is attracting far more public scrutiny.

Which is what stirs the doubt this site's proprietor raised here and at Canada Free Press this afternoon.  It's almost as if the Regime is trying to make itself look insane and destroy all its remaining political capital and its party's midterm election chances.  But I can't fathom a method behind this madness.  Anybody have any ideas?  Leave 'em in the comments below.
