Remember the recent intra-GOP fracas over House Republican leaders claiming that they couldn't defund Barack Obama's unlawful amnesty decree because its presumptive primary funding source - the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) - gets its revenue from user fees and not "appropriations"? Yes, that was a constitutionally dubious argument. But there's another in-your-face aspect to this from the White House's point of view.
Would you believe that the fees USCIS collects come from....legal immigrants?:
The larger question is, who is paying these fees? Millions of legal immigrants are paying these fees, which are now being reallocated by the executive branch to legalize millions of illegal [aliens] who have been living in the United States for years while failing to go through proper and long established legal channels to obtain citizenship or other legal status.
…On average legal immigrants wait ten years to fully obtain citizenship (and only after they’ve had a green card for five years) and they must pay thousands of dollars to USCIS in the process. Again, that money is now being used to give millions of illegal [aliens] a free, expedited pass to legal status. Adding insult to injury, millions of green cards for illegals means longer wait times for legal immigrants. [emphasis added]
What can we conclude from this?
1) Barack Obama is not "pro-immigration," but is in fact hostile to it if it isn't the illegal variety.
2) Why? Because legal immigrants, by dint of their compliance with U.S. immigration law, aren't lawless, and thus don't subscribe to the corrupt Obamunist imperial ethos.
3) Another reason? Legal immigrants are more likely to assimilate into American culture rather than Balkanize it further, and thus are less likely to become robotically Democrat voters.
4) Incentives, incentives, incentives. If you're a foreign national and you want to come to America, why on Earth would you apply for legal citizenship, wait ten years for it, and cough up thousands of dollars to the feds when you can simply sneak across the border, get instantly amnestized, and collect bottomless freebies looted from the morons who played by the rules - and, after there are no more legal immigrants left, from the citizen remnant of the captive Obamerikastani population?
