The Jordanians sure seem to think so:
The head of ISIS is “frightened” for his life after 7,000 jihadists were slaughtered in airstrikes this weekend, Jordanian officials crowed.
Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was on the run Sunday, a Jordanian general boasted, as his nation ramped up bombing efforts in Syria in response to the barbaric killing of captured Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kaseasbeh.
“He is frightened by what we did in the last three days,” Major-General Mansour al-Jabour told NBC News. “[ISIS leadership] always hide and they are always on the move but we have assets always in the air for an opportunity to target al-Baghdadi and his gang.”
Assuming General al-Jabour's boasts are true, that is beyond awesome. Seven thousand casualties would be something around a tenth of their total manpower. In the space of forty-eight hours. Not bad for a "fragile, frontline" non-jihadist Arab state.
But is it a credible claim? Well.....
The air force chief announced Sunday that his jet fighters had conducted fifty-six bomb raids in just three days against ISIS opposition — killing at least 7,000 militants, according to the Christian Times.
That's about three and a half times the sortie rate of Barack Obama's make-believe "coalition" over the past six months. A lot more, but is that enough to wipe out seven thousand jihadists? It could be if the massed airstrikes were well targeted and concentrated - and Jordan's attacks were focused like a laser beam on ISIS's key bases and arms depots in northeastern Syria.
But, as I said a couple of days ago:
Well, now, this is more than a little.....inconvenient for Barack Obama, now isn't it? After all the trouble he went to at the National Prayer Breakfast Thursday morning to once again downplay the Islamic State's Qu'ranic atrocities and smear Christianity as ISIS's moral equivalent - the usual Islamophilic cooing he started in Cairo almost six years ago and still thinks will win America Muslim friendship and affection - here comes Jordan - a Muslim country - exhibiting the righteously raging resolve to crush ISIS once and for all that Barack Obama and the American Left find absolute and utter anathema.
This creates a serious PR problem for the White House. If the Jordanians are even slightly exaggerating, they've managed to actually "degrade" ISIS more in a few days than the mighty United Soviet Socialist States of Obamerikastan has in half a year. Which, in turn, illustrates that ISIS is not as difficult to defeat as Obama has implied, no "global coalition" is actually needed to beat them, and which then raises the issue of why he hasn't done more to "degrade" the "junior varsity jihadists" if weak, little Jordan could do this much damage.
So here came the damage control:
But U.S. officials were skeptical about his claims on Monday. “It was not 7,000 killed over the weekend,” a source told the Post. “I think the general meant 7,000 total killed since the beginning [of the air campaign].”
I don't think General al-Jabour meant that at all, because that isn't what he said. Which means that Obama Regime flunkies are blatantly condescending to a Muslim country. And that, my friends, is Islamophobic. Which is a price of hypocrisy they're evidently willing to pay to keep their pro-jihadist Narrative in place, on track, and hurtling "forward".
But that isn't the only "front" that has been opened up against the Islamic State; and this one could really hit them where they live: online propagandizing and recruitment:
Over the weekend, hacktivist group Anonymous made true on their promise and began their cyber war on ISIS.
The hackers claim in a video posted Friday that they had taken dozens of accounts on Twitter and Facebook, all of which were used as a recruiting platform for ISIS to gain more numbers in their organization.
But before they made the claim, Anonymous prefaced with an explanation of who exactly is fighting against the terrorist organization in what they call “Operation ISIS.”
They explain that the ones fighting the cyber war are “young, or old, gay or straight… from all races, countries, religions, and ethnicity. United as one, divided by zero.”
At the end of the video, Anonymous leaves one of their threats aimed at ISIS, telling them there is no safe place to hide.
Exit question: Did you catch the part where "Anonymous" said that the Islamic State "isn't Islamic"? Could the Obama Regime actually be "Anonymous"? If so, I think they've already tipped their hand. And remember: the cybercaliphate is watching.
