The State Department's Marie Harf, in an interview with Chris Mathews on Hardball, MSNBC:
HARF: We’re killing a lot of them and we’re going to keep killing more of them. So are the Egyptians, so are the Jordanians. They’re in this fight with us. But we cannot win this war by killing them. We cannot kill our way out of this war. We need in the medium to longer term to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s lack of opportunity for jobs, whether. . .
MATTHEWS: We’re not going to be able to stop that in our lifetime or fifty lifetimes. There’s always going to be poor people. There’s always going to be poor muslims, and as long as there are poor Muslims, the trumpet’s blowing and they’ll join. We can’t stop that, can we?
HARF: We can work with countries around the world to help improve their governance. We can help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people…

At first I thought what I saw was the result of some parody website. Surely, members of the liberal left, and the Obama administration, are not this ignorant about war, and the goals of the Islamic Jihad. Sure, a tactic Islamic terrorist groups may use to recruit new members may be to appeal to the more poverty stricken. "Hey, come join us, be a part of something, rather than eating bugs in the dirt." However, the reality is, Islam is a killing machine based on barbaric and false teachings by a false prophet Muhammad that was a maniac, a pedophile, and a narcissistic sociopath. The tyrannical Muslim system of big government is merged with religion, creating a violent religiously motivated fervor among the followers. Once they begin participating, the evil becomes a bloodlust, like a dog that has tasted blood, or the frenzy we may see when sharks attack a kill.
President Barack Obama understands the nature of Islam, but he has a certain sympathy for the ideology, perhaps because he himself is a Muslim, and definitely because of the heavy Islamic influence in his life as he was raised in that environment. Take the Islamic influence, combine it with a life filled with radical, communist mentors, and out the other end you get the anti-American President that is willing to do whatever he can to appease Islam while knocking America down a few notches.
The people that surround Obama are the worst of the worst in the terms of liberal left progressives. They have bought into the utopianist narrative, setting aside the realities of human nature, or the idea that there truly is evil in the world and to survive you must resist evil, and wage war against evil.
Harf's remarks are truly amazing. Remember, ISIS is not hurting for money. They have taken over oil fields and oil production in some places. The organization is well funded, and the terrorists that are waging jihad through the group are taken care of. Theirs is not a reaction to poverty, or out of anger because they can land a job at $15 per hour. The reality of the jihad is simple. The members of ISIS hate you because you are not them. They hate you because Muhammad told them to hate you. They hate you, and will not hesitate to kill you, simply because you exist, and you do not accept Allah as your one and only. Submit to Islam, or be killed. That is their message. And the only way to stop them, is to stop them.
Appeasement, or idiotic tripe like we are hearing from folks like Marie Harf, only place this nation at a greater risk, a disadvantage, and is priming us for invasion, to be slaughtered by Islam, and beheaded in our streets, if we do not stop this now while the Islamic Jihad is something small enough that we can contain it, and ultimately eliminate it.
People like Obama and Harf are simply encouraging Islamic jihadism. The blood of those slaughtered by ISIS, and who will be slaughtered as the Islamic Jihad eventually plunges this world into a global war, is on the Obama administration's hands, an administration that won't even admit that in a number of cases those killed by ISIS were targeted and terminated specifically because they were Christians.
