Is it enough? Of course not. Bowe Bergdahl is a traitor who should hang for his defection. But he's also a pawn and operative of Barack Obama, so it's astonishing that he's facing any charges at all for his perfidious actions, even if it did take the Obamagon almost a year to file and announce them:
"Sergeant" Bowe Bergdahl, theTaliban"U.S." soldier who was recovered in Afghanistan last spring after five years in captivity, faces charges of desertion and "misbehavior before the enemy," according to his lawyer. Eugene Fidell, Bergdahl’s attorney, told the Washington Post that his client was handed a charge sheet on Tuesday. Army officials announced they will provide an update in his case at 3:30 p.m. at Fort Bragg, N.C., but declined to discuss new developments ahead of the news conference.
"Misbehavior before the enemy"? What the hell does that mean? Eating a BLT? Wearing his "Epic Meal Time" t-shirt?
Given that I thought he had already converted to Islam, I wouldn't have thought such "misbehavior" would have been possible. Or does that charge mean misbehavior toward his, and his commander-in-chief's REAL enemy: America? You have to admit, that'd be an easy mistake to make.
Let's see how this court martial unfolds. The verdict will depend entirely upon of how much use Bergdahl still is to Obama. Only if The One is finished with him will he end up in the stockade.
I still say Double-B has a long and lucrative congressional career in front of him, though.
