California Bars Judges From Joining Boy Scouts

by JASmius

Logical....perversely logical.

Kind of like being forbidden to defect to the "enemy" camp:

If you're one of the 2,200 judges in California, you'll soon be prohibited from belonging to the Boy Scouts.

Effective on January 21st, 2016, judges will be barred by the State from being members of the Boy Scouts because the organization, while allowing gays to be Boy Scouts, still bans openly gay scout leaders, the Christian Post reports.

In all honesty, I didn't know judges could be scoutmasters.  I had simply assumed that that ban had already been imposed years ago.  Indeed, I'm amazed that it took California (or any other State) this long to tie off this loose end.

Now I don't know how many California judges are also scoutmasters, but non-perverse logic would suggest that it is a large number to have gotten the attention of the California Supreme Court.  Perverse logic, by contrast, dictates that even one California judge volunteering in that capacity is too many for the Lavender Lobby, and so here comes the Gaystapo.

You know what?  I didn't know the Boy Scouts themselves were still allowed in California.  But I imagine the California Supreme Court will be rectifying that "mistake" in the very near future as well.

But we're not finished with this story yet.  Not by a long shot:

Richard D. Fybel, chairman of the state's Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Code of Judicial Ethics, said, "The only remaining exception to the general rule is membership in a religious organization.

That will be restricted to Muslim organizations in short order.

One other exception, belonging to a military organization, was eliminated as well, because the U.S. armed forces no longer restrict military service based on sexual orientation."

<sigh>

Amazingly enough, not every California judge is on board with this rather garish crackdown on freedom of association:

The ruling has met with opposition from some judges, such as San Diego Judge Julia Kelety, who told National Public Radio, "The issue is whether individual judges can choose in their private lives to be involved in an organization that has tremendous qualities and provides tremendous support for young people.

"

"I don't think that a person appearing in my court would think that I'm biased or unfair simply because I help my sons out in their Boy Scout troop," Kelety said.

It doesn't matter what "a person" thinks about that, Judge Kelety; it's what militant homosexuals think about it.  And if you're not down with them and their grotesque agenda 100%, you're a "hater" and a "bigot" and a "homophobe" and "don't belong on the bench".  Because just like the rest of the far Left, their conception of "justice" is, shall we say, "outcome-based".  Which is to say, only getting what they want is "just".  More than a little self-serving of a definition, it's true, but it does have the perverse virtue of being honest totalitarianism.  Two words that aren't often used in such close proximity.

But I find myself coming back to the question I've always had about the ongoing jihad to sodomize the Boy Scouts: Why is it so ostensibly important to force the BSA to accept queer scoutmasters?  It's not as though they're "homophobic," since they opted last year to accept scouts who "putt from the rough," and by a substantial margin (61%-39%).  But scoutmasters are in a position of power and authority over the young boys in their charge, and it is not unreasonable to suggest that there's a "recruitment" motive to this relentless campaign to get "gay" men into those positions.  In point of fact, it is inarguable, as I'm sure leftwingnuts would agree if the courts were trying to force homosexual organizations to accept Christian pastors into their leadership posts.

No, my friends, it is the utter and absolute intolerance of the Lavender Lobby for ANY organization that differs from their twisted "values" in the slightest that is at issue.  And as the Boy Scouts of America have - or had - Christian values.....:

On the day of the vote, John Stemberger, an Eagle Scout, told NPR, "We recognize that on this day, the most influential youth program in America has turned a very tragic corner. The vote today to allow open and avowed homosexuality in the Boy Scouts will completely transform it into an unprincipled and risky proposition for parents."

Stemberger is a founder of OnMyHonor.net, an alternative scouting group that became part of Trail Life USA, which states on its website, "The basis for the program’s ethical and moral standards is found in the Bible. In terms of sexual identification and behavior, we affirm that any sexual activity outside the context of the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman is sinful before God and therefore inconsistent with the values and principles of the program."

....they must be destroyed - even after effectively conceding them.  Because no compromise will ever be acceptable to the dinnermasher crowd other than unconditional surrender.

Still waiting for them to go after Muslim organizations next.  I wonder what's taking them so long....?
