Obama, "By Hook Or By Crook"

by JASmius

Everybody's getting to bent out of shape about this royal comment from his interview with the Huff 'n Puffers (after bragging about all the communist legislation and decreeing he's done over the past six-plus years):

By hook or by crook, we’re going to make sure that when I leave this office, that the country is more prosperous, more people have opportunity, kids have a better education, we’re more competitive, climate change is being taken more seriously than it was, and we are actually trying to do something about it. Those are going to be the measures by which I look back and say whether I've been successful as president.” [emphasis added]

I suppose that might be eye-opening for the LIVs and NIVs, although I also don't think that very many of them would care one way or the other.  But for those of us who do pay attention, how is this anything new or novel or unprecedented?  Is it arrogant?  Sure; but we knew he was arrogant.  Is it lawless and despotic?  Sure; but we knew he was a lawless despot.  Remember, it was only four months ago that he publicly declared that he was now going to be "the president [I've] always wanted to be."  This is simply more of the same.

What grabs my eye about that quote is all the things that he says he's going to "make sure of" by any means necessary when ALL his policies are producing the diametrically opposite results.  This country is the most impoverished it's been in eighty years, opportunity has been destroyed for all except the "party elite" and its cronies and fellow-travelers, kids can't read, can't count, and don't know bleep other than Regime indoctrination in perversion, paganism, and anti-patriotism, we can no longer compete with anybody at anything except the race to the bottom, "climate change" has become a punchline - oh, wait, that's a good thing; I guess that one really is a failure on his part - but his death march to "do something about it closes the loop with the start of this recitation.

And you'll also note that he didn't specify when he was going to "leave this office".

My questions to VH is simple: Are you actually surprised the the HuffPo would intervew O?  And can you possibly be surprised that that is the interview he gave?

Get back to me when he starts apologizing for all the cataclysmic damage he's done to this country and does a 180 degree policy about-face.  THAT would be newsworthy.
