But remember, folks, it's only "right-wing anti-choicer war on women-wagers" that are "prone to violence":
KXAN spoke to Ruth Allwein, a member of pro-life campaign Forty Days For Life, Monday evening. Allwein said she and other women were praying outside the clinic when a driver threw the object at her. “I realized she was throwing something [a Molotov cocktail] out the window and it was on fire,” Allwein said. “So I backed away and turned around to see if I could tell what the car looked like, but I couldn’t.” According to the executive director of Central Texas Coalition For Life, the group was able to record the woman’s license plate number before she drove away.
Police could only provide initial information Monday night and were unable to confirm all of the details provided by Allwein.
Here is a firsthand account:
Yesterday evening toward the end of the daily prayer vigil, a passerby threw a flaming object at the prayer volunteers. Fortunately no one was injured and the flames were put out quickly,” the group said. “This is not the first time people have thrown objects at pro-lifers but clearly this instance was a more direct threat, and we always want to exercise caution.”
The prayer volunteers handled the situation very well – one took a photo of the license plate of the vehicle, another called the police and her Day Captain to report the incident. The police soon caught and arrested the female driver. Eventually KXAN News came out and interviewed one of our brave volunteers, Ruth.
But, once again, this "officially" did not happen, because only "right-wing extremist Christianist theocratic domestic terrorists" ever "engage in violence".
There is, however, a bit of good Texas news out of Irving:
Dozens of Muslims in Irving are upset after the city council passed a resolution in support of a new state house bill some Muslims believe targets their faith.
i.e. It reasserts the supremacy of U.S. federal, State, and local law over Sharia.
Council members voted [last] Thursday night on a resolution that support Texas HB 562, which forbids the use of foreign law and codifies the supremacy of U.S. and State law.
“I think it’s the most disgraceful day in the city of Irving,” said Omar Suleiman, an Irving resident who is Muslim. “The elephant in the room is that it’s the anti-Shariah bill.”
Yeah, Omar, that's kind of the point. What possible reason would you have to call such a self-evident no-brainer "most disgraceful"? Unless your "non-binding" Sharia court is meant to be a lot more than that.
Some Muslims in Irving believe the resolution is in reaction to a new Islamic Tribunal that is operating in the city.
Ya think?
Judges had previously told community members their work is non-binding and they only deal with civil disputes like marriage. They also said U.S. and State laws supersede any decisions they make.
Then you should have no problem with Texas HB 562, then, should you?
“This bill does not mention at all Muslims, Shariah Law, Islam, even religion,” said Mayor Beth Van Duyne.
Mayor Beth Van Duyne said it is important to recognize the Constitution and unite behind U.S. and Texas laws.
Anybody want to send Barack Obama a framed, embossed copy of this bill?
“Respect them, obey them, embrace them,” said the mayor.
If "Imam" Suleiman has a problem with this, he and his Muzzie brethren can always make common cause with The Army Of The Twelve Clitorises, or whatever the leftwing extremist pro-abortion domestic terrorist group calls itself. It'll be religiously distasteful, but the latter are all going to become harem girl sex slaves anyway once the Irving Sharia Tribunal orders it. I'm sure Allah will understand.
