Environmentalist War On Plants & The Poor

by JASmius

Note the direction of each sign.  Rest assured, it is no accident.  Just as greenstremists by definition hate flora because they want to deprive them (including trees) of both photosynthesis and the carbon dioxide which they respire, so the Watermelon Brigade loathes the poor, whose ranks will inevitably grow as their Marxist "climate change" policies grind what's left of the globe's golden goose into blood and feathers:

Democrats who say they are trying to lift up the fortunes of the poor and middle class are doing exactly the opposite in their war on climate change, says Stephen Moore, a senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation.

"Their agenda is driven by the millionaire and billionaire Democratic donors who make the party possible. But the agenda also involves making energy, home heating, transportation and just about everything else less efficient and more expensive to the middle class and poor," he writes in the Washington Times.

"The people who lose their jobs when the climate-change Stalinists prevail are the people at the bottom and the middle of the income ladder."

I don't know why, but my ears just started burning all of a sudden.

And it's not as if the poor and middle class are screaming for action on global warming, Moore says.

"Nearly every poll of voters over the last several years consistently finds Americans rank jobs, incomes, terrorism, the national debt, schools and other such daily concerns at the top of the list of policy priorities. Global warming almost always ranks last or very near the bottom, which is amazing, given the billions that have been spent on this propaganda campaign."

Of course - because "fighting climate change" and "saving the planet" are a collectively popular issue in direct proportion to which it remains an abstraction that doesn't cost We, The People anything.  Everybody is for "clean water" and "clean air," and nobody wants Waterworld or, you know, Venus.  But like every other public goodie, nobody wants to pay for it, and especially with their jobs and a crash to a nadir standard of living not seen since the Black Death, and the communist police state that would come with it.  And all over a "threat" that does not, in fact, exist, as pretty much the entire human "species" outside of greenstremists have already concluded.

It is axiomatic: Only "rich" countries can afford clean environments, and the local star....

....determines our planetary climate, not the existence of modern human civilization.  It is environmental extremists who are the deniers of these twin truths, which reveals, in turn, their true agenda.

Not that Barack Obama being their champion wasn't a pretty obvious giveaway, of course, but still....
