Democrats Target Religious Freedom

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Christian persecution is full throttle in the United States.  The homosexual agenda is openly attacking the religious foundation of this country, and are even poised to have pastors arrested if they dare preach against the sexual deviance of homosexuality.  Businesses are going bankrupt for daring not to comply with the demands of the homosexual agenda.  Religious Freedom is under attack, and Christians are being told they must be forced to accept the gay agenda.  We are a nation founded upon Religious Freedom, and if we abandon God, this nation will collapse.  As Benjamin Franklin so aptly put it, "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom.  As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."

The homosexual agenda has faked reports, have created the "born that way" argument simply for political purposes, and are using militant tactics to silence their critics.  Franklin Graham is finally starting to speak out, but most pastors remain silent.

The latest Democrat to get on the "Christians better change their ways" bandwagon is Hillary Clinton.  Last April 23, she told a crowd at the Women in the World conference that "...deep seated cultural codes, religious beliefs, and structural biases, have to be changed."

In other words, Freedom of Religion no longer matters.  Get with the progressive program, or be forced to do it by the progressive overlords.  After all, she also said in that speech that, "...all the laws we passed don't count for much if they are not enforced."

She means laws, and court rulings overturning State laws on the State issue of marriage and abortion, must be enforced, and if the Christians dare to stand against them on the grounds of religious beliefs, those people must be forced to be changed.

The problem is, the churches are too afraid to stand up for their religious rights.  Religious freedom is not being defended because the churches have been silent out of the unwarranted fear of losing their tax-exempt status.  The courts keep overturning laws, and even the Republicans are beginning to cave to the demands of the homosexual agenda.

If the churches remain silent, the final obstacle we can place against losing our virtuous society will be impotent.  The problem is, the churches are voluntarily remaining silent, not fully realizing that the non-profit status was created to silence the churches.

And, the laws are not as strict against the churches as one may believe.

According to Pastor Brad Cranston, no church has ever lost it's tax-exempt status.

The Democrats have targeted the freedom of speech, gun rights, and religious freedoms under Barack Obama.  Are we willing to stand against this?  Are we willing to fight against the attacks on our freedoms?
