Is death ever funny? I know a lot of Pearly Gate jokes, and I think they are quite funny. The liberal left progressive socialist commie Democrats thought a Canadian movie depicting the assassination of George W. Bush to be funny. Beetlejuice made death quite funny, too. Quirky, but funny. However, the leftists draw the line when it comes to the killing of armed Muslim terrorists bent on killing Americans practicing their right of Free Speech. In that case, according to a man named Scott Spencer, "Death is never funny, even when it's necessary."
Pamela Geller's "Draw Prophet Muhammad" contest (I would have called it "Draw False-Prophet Muhammad" contest), held last weekend in Garland, Texas, offered $10,000 for the best cartoon of Muhammad. Two gunmen shot a security guard, fully intending on killing the event's organizer, Geller, but were killed by police before they could get close enough to cause any damage.
The fallout from the Garland, Texas news of Muslims opening fire has been massive. While the shooting reminds us that Islamic terror is inside the United States, critics of Geller accuse her of provoking violent response, and Muslim leaders are calling for her death. Some of those critics are not necessarily leftists. Among them is Donald Trump. Geller indicates the response by Muslims reveals Islam's double-standard when it comes to the Freedom of Speech.
Evan Sayet, a conservative comedian located in the Los Angeles area, had his own thing to say about the situation, prompting Scott Spencer's response, "Death is never funny." Sayet tweeted: "My favorite drawings at the Muhammad cartoon festival in Texas were the two chalk outlines out front."
I agree with Mr. Sayet whole-heartedly.
The backlash has come from more directions than just Scott Spencer (whoever that guy is). The elite liberal progressive left have been all over Sayet for daring to send out the Tweet, but Sayet states that the response has mostly been positive. “The response, in fact, has not only been overwhelming but overwhelmingly positive. The vast majority of Americans — especially those outside the Leftists’ bastions of academia, journalism, entertainment and Democratic Party politics — are wholly in support of my statement whereby hundreds of innocents being saved by the killing of two terrorists is a GOOD thing.”
Conservative talk show pundit Michael Savage, in an interview with Alex Jones, says the Garland, Texas happening can be traced back to the White House, and that this administration is facilitating these violent responses through their policies and is linked to ISIS.
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the failed reaction to Geller's event, claiming they will ensure her death through a number of ISIS militants that already exist in the United States. The FBI has confirmed that there is a growing ISIS influence in the United States, a threat enabled by the failure of the federal government to secure the national borders of the United States.
