But there's nothing to see here, and ISIS is not Islamic, so move along.
Still, these two stories just seem to go together, if you ask me.
First, the Islamic State winning the global propaganda war with sophisticated and prolific messaging:
ISIS terrorists are expertly using hip hop music, video games and even children to successfully recruit young people to their violent cause. That assessment comes today from the FBI and from top U.S. counterterrorism officials, who say the ISIS social media machine is sophisticated, prolific, and unprecedented.
As much as that of the Obama White House? Nah, it can't be that good.
“They are shooting out into the ether-sphere thousands and thousands of messages a day, over 90,000 a day and it’s to millions of people across the globe,” John Carlin, the head of the Justice Department’s National Security Division told ABC News Correspondent Pierre Thomas. “What they are trying to do is to convince young people to go slaughter civilians in a vicious war.”
And there're finding plenty of young, de-Christianized "empty vessels" to fill up with their Satanic poison. A means and circumstance that has never existed before in all of human history.
The online messaging is slick — far broader and more subtle than the vicious beheading videos the public is too familiar with, according to Scott Talan, a social media and marketing professor at American University. Talan viewed about a dozen ISIS propaganda videos with ABC News’ Pierre Thomas, and said he is shocked by the quality of the messaging the terror group is putting out.
“This is sophisticated. It is Madison Avenue meets documentary film making meets news channel with sensibilities and marketing value,” Talan said.
It brings us right back to what Dr. Irina Spalko sneeringly told Indiana Jones in Legend Of The Crystal Skull:
Imagine. To peer across the world and know the enemy's secrets. To place our thoughts into the minds of your leaders. Make your teachers teach the true version of history, your soldiers attack on our command. We'll be everywhere at once, more powerful than a whisper, invading your dreams, thinking your thoughts for you while you sleep. We will change you, Dr. Jones, all of you, from the inside. We will turn you into us. And the best part? You won't even know it's happening.
You can't fight something with nothing, which pretty much describes the State Commissariat's lame pro forma attempts to dissuade young, de-Christianized empty vessels for whom the welfare state and endlessly stoked racist anger haven't provided any life's meaning from signing up in Mosul. Captain Ed suggests that State recruit Hollywood to try and fight this ideological war the same way that partnership did the Axis Powers in World War II, but the latter are the same people that are practically calling for Pamela Geller's execution for "blasphemy" almost as loudly as are the "Muzzies". And besides, a Regime that refuses to even utter the name and nature of its enemy, despite that enemy loudly proclaiming it at every opportunity, is a Regime that quite evidently has no genuine interest in resisting that enemy in any way, shape, or form.
But the enemy is very serious about its intentions. They mean to conquer us and force is to convert to Islam, and massacre everybody who declines that "generous" offer. And they're going about it in very insidious ways, because while we refuse to know our enemy, they, in the best Sun Tzu tradition, know us better than we know ourselves.
Consequently, this is what we get for our lack of efforts:
Military bases and installations in the United States have been ordered to raise their force protection condition status to Bravo (FPCON Bravo), due to general concerns about ISIS related threats, but not because of any specific threat or plot.
U.S. Northern Command’s Admiral William Gortney ordered the increase in the force protection condition from FPCON Alpha Plus, which is the standard for U.S. military bases.
The order will result in some visible increases in security, though there will also be other not-so-visible measures that will be taken. It is unclear how long the order to raise the force protection condition will remain in effect.
Only until the latest ISIS "activity" blows over. If it ever does. And then the White House will dial it back down anyway.
Force Protection Conditions essentially set a baseline for U.S. military facilities to follow for their security. This would include military recruiting stations and offices outside of U.S. military bases. The Pentagon has been on a higher force protection status than Alpha Plus for years.
The last time the force protection status was raised to the Bravo level was on the tenth anniversary of the September 11th, 2001, attacks. The higher levels of force protection are Charlie and Delta.
The FP Condition was raised to Bravo “as a prudent measure to remind installation commanders at all levels within the USNORTHCOM area of responsibility to ensure increased vigilance and safeguarding of all DOD personnel, installations and facilities,” a defense official said. “This change, in addition to random drills or exercises, is a mean to ensure that we effectively execute our force protection mission.”
The official said Thursday’s comments by FBI Director James Comey about the ISIS threat to the U.S. homeland were taken into consideration by Gortney in raising the force protection condition.
I doubt it. More likely this is just a PR fig leaf to keep the American public pacified and deceived. Evidently The One is more skittish about his entire pro-jihadist Middle East policy going up in flames along with one or more American cities than he is enticed by the martial law opportunities it would provide him. And here I thought the man was a despotic visionary. I guess his laziness exceeds even his corrupt ambition.
The thing is, though, that the next big homeland jihadist strike is, plainly and simply, out of his hands. Barack Obama is the one who quit Iraq and handed the country and all the gains we made there at not inconsiderable cost over to our enemies. Barack Obama is the one who allowed the Islamic State to rise, phoenix-like, from the ashes of al Qaeda In Iraq and conquer most of that country, Syria, Libya, West Africa, the horn of Africa, and establish footholds in the Sinai, Yemen, and Afghanistan. To say nothing of erasing our own southern border and allowing ISIS fighers to pour across it, on top of the native-born traitors he's given ISIS free rein to recruit.
O has made ISIS the strongest horse in equine history, and removed us from the battlefield altogether. He's not really fighting them in Syria, Iraq, or anywhere else. He's conceded the entire Middle East to them and the Iranian mullahs. And it is they who have all the power, all the strength, all the confidence, all the initiative, and the eminently reasonable and logical belief that they can take us any time they wish.
But don't believe your lying eyes. Because there's nothing to see here, and ISIS is not Islamic, so move along. All is well....
