Hillary Clinton Desperate To Preempt Elizabeth Warren

by JASmius

Keep that post title in mind whenever you see the phrase "hold on to the Obama coalition" in the following quote:

Hillary Rodham Clinton is running as the most liberal Democratic presidential front-runner in decades, with positions on issues from gay marriage to immigration that would, in past elections, have put her at her party’s precarious left edge.

The moves are part of a strategic conclusion by Clinton’s emerging campaign: that it can harness the same kind of young and diverse coalition as Barack Obama did in 2008 and 2012, bolstered by even stronger appeal among women.

Her approach — outlined in interviews with aides and advisers — is a bet that social and demographic shifts mean that no left-leaning position Clinton takes now would be likely to hurt her in making her case to moderate and independent voters in the general election next year.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is not the Democrat front-runner.  If she was, she wouldn't be lurching to the Left as fast as her varicose-veined, upside-down legs will carry her, because she wouldn't need to.  This woman has been on the national political stage for almost a quarter of a century; if her stature is that weak and her communist bona fides aren't established by now, they never will be.  And that's the only way that she would ever attain the Democrat nomination, because while Barack Obama may or may not have shoved the American electorate to the Left over the past six and a half years, he's darn-tootin' shoved his party that way, and that party's nominating base loathes Hillary Rodham Clinton precisely because she's made such a Life Model Decoy of herself with all the lies, calculations, flip-flopping, money-grubbing, Wall Street schmoozing, and especially all the serial anti-feminist heresies she's committed in the long, sordid process of maintaining her piggy-back hold on her horndog husband in order to have any reflected political viability to start with.

Mrs. Clinton is not a "progressive," she's a soulless phony, which is why the Nutroots rejected her in favor of Barack Obama seven years ago.  That indelible image hasn't improved any since.  And that is what makes the idea that of a dull, boring, grating, seventy-year-old white woman retaining the Obama coalition beyond delusional.

But how about a rabid, raving, authentically Marxist sixty-five-year-old white woman squaw minus the aforementioned Clintonoid stench?  Elizabeth Warren isn't The One, but she is Hillary circa 1992, back when the Left actually did love the then-first lady.  And if there's anything we should have learned since 2004, it is that the Democrat base will never again choose "electability" over following their lunatic hearts.

And no matter how strenuously the media tries to portray otherwise, their hearts are not in another Hillary Clinton coronational procession - particularly one that has "landslide defeat" written all over it.
