Hillary Clinton Snubs Nutroots Nation

by JASmius

Hasn't she been madly tacking left for the past two months in a frantic effort to get out in front of her party's lunatic base and make them all forget Elizabeth Warren even exists?  Well, either she has concluded that that particular mission is accomplished, or she doesn't want to find out just how unaccomplished it really is:

Hillary Rodham Clinton is skipping a gathering of politically active [communists] next month that would have put her on the same stage with her Democrat challengers — and likely set up unwelcome comparisons with liberal heroine Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)

[Mrs.] Clinton sent regrets for Netroots Nation, a three-day political conference that is a draw for some of the most ardent [communist extremists], because she has previously scheduled speaking events in Iowa and Arkansas, her campaign said.

“Our campaign looks forward to earning the support of the Democrats participating in this conference but Hillary Clinton has scheduling conflicts which will prevent her from attending,” campaign spokesman Jesse Ferguson said. “She wishes them the best on their conference.”

[Mrs.] Clinton is far and away the Democrat front-runner, with 75% of Democrat support in a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll out this week. But she has struggled to gain the enthusiastic backing of the far left, despite running a very left-leaning campaign so far.

And therein, I think, lies the explanation for her no-show: With Fauxcahontas refusing to challenge her, and Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley, and Linc Chafee no challenges at all, the Donk base is stuck with Hillary, and she, and they, know it.  So why should she go to Leftypalooza, get booed off the stage, and create audio and video that will dog her for the rest of the campaign?  She's her own fait accompli, and there's nothing the Nutroots can do about it.  Let them stew in their own overheated juices, and come next winter and spring and fall, they'll dutifully hold their noses, line up, and vote for the Empress, whether they're "ready for" her or not.

Probably helps explain their collective angst attack.

UPDATE: Weekend Bernie is within eight points of the Old Puffgut in New Hampshire.  Imagine how well The Squaw would be doing.
