And the winner is? Well, the image to the left was the winner of the Draw Muhammad contest that Pamela Geller held, which drew gunfire from unhappy Muslims outside the event in Garland, Texas.
Freedom of speech has reached a deadly crossroad. The question for the average American is, "are you willing to defend your rights with your life?"
Muslims plan exactly that. Islam is prepared to kill you if you don't give up your rights willingly. They plan to take your rights, or kill you while you try to defend them. Either way, they figure your freedom to challenge them is soon to be a thing of the past.
Let's go back to America's founding. Have you ever read the final sentence of the Declaration of Independence?
The final sentence of the Declaration of Independence, a document used to proclaim the independency from a tyrannical British Empire that refused to treat the colonists as the freemen they believed themselves to be, reads, "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."
Lives. Fortunes. Sacred Honor.
The Founding Fathers were willing to put on the line their Lives, Fortunes, and sacred Honor to defend what they believed in, to ensure that the natural rights inherited by freemen from God were protected and promoted.
The first two international wars the United States engaged in after the completion of the American Revolution were the Barbary Wars, waged by Presidents Jefferson and Madison. The United States found it necessary to engage the Muslim pirates so that they may protect America's shipping lanes, and the lives of the sailors being taken into slavery when captured by ships flying the Barbary Coast's colors. Our second president, John Adams, a federalist that held beliefs closer to today's liberals than did Jefferson's Republicans, tried to appease the Muslims, paying their demanded tribute, hoping it would bring peace. Appeasement only led to more demands by the Muslim leaders, and larger payments to the Islamic caliphate. Jefferson purchased a Koran to help him better understand the enemy, so that he may defeat them if given the chance.
Before becoming Secretary of State under George Washington's presidency, and Vice President during John Adams' time as Commander in Chief, after a diplomatic mission to inquire further why United States Ships were under assault, Jefferson wrote to John Jay in March of 1786, “We took the liberty to make some enquiries concerning the ground of their pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation. Pamela Geller's contest in Garland, Texas has resulted in Islam targeting her and harassing her, and Islamic leaders have released information about her so that jihadists can find her and kill her. ISIS, through a British Islamic State jihadist kingpin, discovered Geller's personal New York address and tweeted the address on Twitter, apartment number and all. The Tweet came merely hours after a third man connected to a plot to kill her and murder Boston police was arrested.

For example, a 60 year old currently militarily inactive United States Marine (Associated Press calls him a former Marine, but there is no such thing) in New Hampshire is ready to pile on Muhammad with his own “Draw Muhammad” art contest in August.
Jerry Delemus says the freedom of expression guaranteed by the First Amendment trumps any religion’s limitations on such expression, “If we back away from our freedom as citizens a little bit at a time, the next thing you know, we don’t have any freedoms left.,”
Should we do the same locally, especially now that the fight to stop the mosque being built in Temecula has reached an impasse? How about in your area? Could you imagine if dozens of "Draw Muhammad" contests emerged nationwide?
I think we ought to begin a "National Draw Muhammad" effort, with dozens of locations occurring all in the same day. Who's with me?

Leftists have called the Garland event by Pamela Geller a move that incited violence.
So, because a group says "lose your rights, or else we will get violent," we are supposed to fold like a chair?
Sure, there are risks, but isn't defending liberty worth it?
Besides, as Delemus stated, having plenty of security will be in the plans, for sure.
