Europe on Economic Brink

By Douglas V. Gibbs

After a decade of what Americans would call "liberal left" policies, the European Union is on the brink of falling apart, with their currency (Euro) weakening as Greece votes on what they will do next.  However, with larger problems to worry about on the horizon, and an authoritative control over the world financial system including a shuffling of debt, the impact on the market, on the surface, seemed to be small.

Greek stocks fell, and Chinese stocks rose.  Banks are prepared to raid deposits, and citizens are doing all they can to survive the next series of hurdles by stocking up on essentials, and using other sources they can barter.  Europe is in trouble.  Their economy is hanging by a thread, as they are suffering through the consequences of liberal economic policies, and an out of control immigration problem with an influx of Islamist Muslims that threatens to change the whole face of Europe.

The people of Greece voted down further austerity, rejecting losing benefits that cannot be paid for because there is no money.  The vote will likely lead to a default by Greece, as Argentina did a decade ago.  South American dictators and socialists called the vote a win for Greece, a defeat against European imperialism.  Greece is being told that they should not have to sign their own death certificate, however, signing their own death certificate may be exactly what Greece did with the austerity vote.

For Greece, and eventually Europe, economic collapse is eminent.

Oh, and like Germany of nearly a century ago, a large segment of Greeks blame Jewish bankers for their woes, not the destructive policies of socialism.  Therefore, we are not just seeing the world set itself up for collapse, but we are seeing the world during the presidency of a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Barack Obama, setting itself up for war.  The war being set up, however, is one that may very well be waged against Israel, alone.
