Has Hillary Clinton Statutorily Disqualified Herself From The Presidency?

by JASmius

That's the latest highly intriguing wrinkle to this ongoing collapse saga, brought to us today by former Bush43 attorney-general Micheal Mukasey:

The federal statute in question is Title 18, Section 2071, Paragraphs A and B:

Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States. [emphases added]

Trust me, folks, being "disqualified from holding any office under the United States" would be a far greater penalty for the Empress than being "fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years or both".  After all, Hillary is a billionairesse and could pay any fine, and she'll never see a minute of jail time, but to have her last shot at the presidency terminated in guillotine-like fashion....it might even motivate her to stick her neck under that metaphorical blade instead.

Of course, she would have to actually be prosecuted under Title 18, Section 2071, Paragraphs A and B and actually convicted.  Neither is remotely likely.

But this is yet another possibility floating around out there, orbiting a fading candidacy like a moon around a planet around a sun spiraling into a black hole.

As Jazz Shaw recommends this morning, "Joe Biden… call your office."
