Media Calling BS On Hillary Clinton's Emailgate Excuses

by JASmius

The story here isn't in the details, which we've discussed ad nauseum for weeks now.  The story is the source:

The new stamps indicate that some of [Mrs.] Clinton’s emails from her time as the nation’s most senior diplomat are filled with a type of information the U.S. government and the department’s own regulations automatically deems classified from the get-go — regardless of whether it is already marked that way or not.

In the small fraction of emails made public so far, Reuters has found at least thirty email threads from 2009, representing scores of individual emails, that include what the State Department’s own “Classified” stamps now identify as so-called ‘foreign government information.’ The U.S. government defines this as any information, written or spoken, provided in confidence to U.S. officials by their foreign counterparts.

This sort of information, which the department says [Mrs.] Clinton both sent and received in her emails, is the only kind that must be “presumed” classified, in part to protect national security and the integrity of diplomatic interactions, according to U.S. regulations examined by Reuters.

This isn't Rush Limbaugh saying this, folks.  Or Sean Hannity or Hugh Hewitt or Glenn Beck.  Not Fox News.  Not Political Pistachio or Constitution Radio or Hard Starboard Radio.  Reuters.

Take a gander at this takedown of Rodham spokesman Brian Fallon, who said:

“She was at worst a passive recipient of unwitting information that subsequently became deemed as classified.”

Reuters didn't break out into a chant like this.....

....but their piece came pretty close to the next best thing:

Former Information Security Oversight Office Director J. William Leonard [said Mrs.] Clinton had to have known information was classified because it’s government rules.

It’s born classified. If a foreign minister just told the secretary of state something in confidence, by U.S. rules that is classified at the moment it’s in U.S. channels and U.S. possession.” [emphasis added]

There's a reason why the Empress wants everybody to get tangled up in all the Byzantine details of this scandal: to make "complicated," and therefore obfuscate, what is sublimely simple.  Hillary Clinton as Commissar of State was legally required to send and receive all her emails through state.gov, and she instead broke the law by sending and receiving all her emails through clintonemails.com.  "All her emails" includes all the classified ones.  By definition.  Period.  She belongs in prison for the rest of her life (where she won't spend a single day), and she belongs anywhere but in the White House (where she won't spend a single day, either, other than as a tourist).  It's as simple as that.

And the Enemy Media is reporting on it.

Looks like they want out of the Hillary Trap as well.
