Remember this candidate back in 2008 who spoke soaringly about "no red States, no blue States, but just the United States" and being a "uniter" and a "pragmatic moderate" and a "post-partisan" who would "bring the country together"?
Whatever happened to that guy?:
Once in a while, even U.S. presidents tell us how they really feel. Monday was one of those times for Barack Obama.
Fresh off a two-week vacation, Barack Obama told Democrat donors in Nevada that he’s feeling “feisty.” And in relating a conversation with the Senate [Minority L]eader, Nevadan Harry Reid, Obama got real about his opponents.
“We were doing a little reminiscing and then figuring out how we’re going to deal with the crazies in terms of managing some problems,” Obama said at a fundraiser for the Nevada State Democrat Party. The room of about a hundred donors burst into laughter.
So who are “the crazies?” Obama didn’t say, specifically. A White House spokesman, Eric Schultz, didn’t immediately respond to an inquiry.
He didn't really have to. All the Donk donors knew who he meant. The "crazies" are those who know that you can't spend yourself rich, tax yourself into prosperity, and borrow yourself into solvency. Who know that traditional marriage has been the lynchpin of healthy societies for thousands of years and sexual perversion in all its many fetid varieties is the repeated hallmark of civilizations that self-destruct. And who know that giving nuclear weapons to a country that has called for our mass death for thirty-six years is very likely to lead to that country bringing about our mass death in a much shorter period of time, that an agreement that purports to halt that country's development of nuclear weapons can't succeed if that country is given not only veto power over inspections but gets to inspect itself, and that all of the above is precisely what will lead to war on our enemy's terms, not scrapping this farcical perfidy and resuming our resistance to them.
The "crazies" also include Democrats like Robert Menendez, Steve Israel, Chuck Schumer, and a number of others who have announced their opposition to this paean to Shiite jihadism, as well as 60%-65% of the American people.
But it's Barack Obama that is "The Last Reasonable Man in Politics".
The old phrase, "Physician, heal thyself" comes to mind.
