Suspicious Package in Century City

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The Avenue of the Stars became the Avenue of the Evacuated, when a suspicious package emitting a strange smell was discovered. It turned out not to be a bomb, but the mystery liquid needed to be investigated, turning the situation into a hazmat event. The bank building in Century City’s evacuation ended at 7:30 pm, Wednesday Night.

The suspicious package was deemed harmless, but officials never told the media what the package contained that demanded investigation. The package was delivered by FedEx on the 9th floor of the headquarters for Deutsche Bank. The bomb squad was called to the scene just after 1:30 p.m. when people said the oddly-shaped package also had a strange odor. The building was evacuated shortly after. The building is also home of CAA Talent Agency. Century Boulevard was closed between Constellation and Olympic Boulevards.
