Germany-Netherlands Soccer Game Canceled Before It Could Be Bombed

by JASmius

Beats me what the rest of the world sees in soccer.  It's a boring spectator sport on television and it's even more tedious and slow in person.  It could put the paint to sleep before it has a chance to even dry.

But the Muslim fundies almost made this particular match a lot more "exciting".  Or, put another way, Hanover was almost over:

“We received a serious tip that an explosive attack was planned for the stadium,” Hannover police chief Volker Kluwe said in an interview on ARD public television…

Police evacuated the stadium and the surrounding area. Outside, on the street, police were exhorting people to leave, according to television footage from Hannover.

“Please immediately make your way home,” the police said over the loudspeakers. “There is no reason for you to stay here any longer.”

Hanover's police chief said declaratively that, "There was a device intended to be detonated inside the stadium."  It was reportedly inside a "suspicious suitcase".  Another report indicated that Hanover authorities found a truck bomb disguised as a rescue vehicle.

The soccer game wasn't the only Hanover target:

BREAKING: Police in Hanover have closed a section of the city's central train station as another object has been discovered."

Oddly, after this competent exercise in public safety, Germany's Interior Minister tweeted that "no explosives" were found in Hanover.  Which sounds to me like belated ass-covering designed to implicitly defend Chancellor Angela Merkel's inviting half the Middle East to overrun Germany by irresponsibly downplaying the threat.

Ironic that Merkel was scheduled to be at the Germany-Holland clash, just as French President Francois Hollande was in attendance at the Franco-German match that got bombed last Friday.  Allahpundit calls them possible assassination attempts.  They remind me of the Mandarin in Iron Man III:

Western "leaders," particularly Barack Hussein Obama, are really, really obtuse about learning the lesson ISIS is trying to teach us.  And it's such a simple one, really, the same binary proposition that is put to every "infidel" whose heads the Muzzies then saw off their shoulders: Convert to Islam or die.

In Hanover today, another Islamassacre was averted.  But the lesson remains to be learned.  And the price will only get steeper.
