More Guns and Less Obama would have Prevented Mass Shooting in San Bernardino

By Douglas V. Gibbs

As I sit here thinking about what happened in San Bernardino, with the mass shooting, I got to thinking.

First, if a bunch of the folks at that Christmas party at a social services center had been armed, they would have shot down the shooters immediately, and the death toll and injury count would be much lower.  The target was chosen because, aside from one of the shooters being an employee there, it is a gun-free zone, and the shooters were assured that there would be nobody firing back.

Second, while the Obama administration is claiming the presence of guns in our society has encouraged a sudden rise in mass shootings, and that San Bernardino is yet another instance in a "pattern... of mass shootings that has no parallel anywhere else in the world," my observation is that these numbers are increasing under the watch of President Obama.  It's not guns causing this, it's the presidency of Barack Obama.  His policies, and the emboldening of Islam (coupled with a greater rise in leftist policies in a number of States, such as California) through the policies of the Democrat Party, are the common theme here.  If it was the fault of guns, we would have two hundred years of mass shootings such as this.
