Pennsylvania Student Protesters Demand Renaming Of “Lynch" Memorial Hall

by JASmius

This would be an afternoon palate-cleanser if not for what this level of noodle-headedness means for the country's future:

Students at a small Pennsylvania college are demanding that administrators rename a building called “Lynch Memorial Hall” because of the racial overtones of the word “lynch.”

Yes, really.

The building is named after Clyde A. Lynch, who was president of Lebanon Valley College from 1932 until his death in 1950.

Students want school officials to either rename the building entirely or add Lynch’s first name and middle initial, saying the word recalls the public executions of black men by white mobs in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Ya know, when we're kids we just stick our fingers in our ears and hum at the top of our lungs.  This is far more annoying than that ever was.

Do you suppose these numbskulls are aware that the second black Attorney-General of the First (Half-)Black President is surnamed.....Lynch?  I can only assume they're not since they didn't demand that Lebanon Valley College rename that building after her.

And a note to Jazz Shaw in reply to this quote:

If the colleges are just going to knuckle under to thug tactics and cease focusing on providing the best possible education for the tuition dollars they receive, they deserve what they get. Turn the asylum over to the inmates and the rest of us with actual jobs will sit back and laugh when these oh so easily aggrieved students show up to apply for a position in the private sector.

(1) What makes you think that any of us are going to have actual jobs for much longer - mine was ripped away from me over two years ago, and its successor six months later after only a week - and (2) what makes you think that "these oh, so easily aggrieved students won't take that same sense of fascist entitlement with them into the job market and get everything they want, same as the did in college, on the same grounds using the same tactics?  Heck, why would they change anything?  Why should they?  "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," after all.  And the Obama Regime will be right there to force whatever desiccated remains of the private sector survive to knuckle under to the, well, "lynch" mob.

As malevolently infantile as this nonsense is, it isn't just a phase; it's America's future.

Second look at euthanasia?
