U.S. Embassy In Pakistan Declined Screening Of Tashfeen Malik

by JASmius

"Did we refuse to screen Mr. and Mrs. Farook in Pakistan, refuse to screen their social media posts, give her a K-1 "fiancee" visa without a first glance, wave them into the country, practically chauffeur them to San Bernardino, California, along with their arsenal, stand back, and watch the bullets fly?

"OH, YES, WE DID!"

Yes, that's a riff on the Domino's Pizza ad campaign.  I consider it a significant accomplishment given how difficult it's becoming to come up with original ledes for stories that never seem to stop burgeoning in and with outrageousness:

U.S. authorities in Pakistan could have sought - but did not - a full background security investigation of San Bernardino shooter Tashfeen Malik before granting her a visa to enter the United States in 2014, according to a U.S. official familiar with the matter.

Consular officials in American embassies overseas can ask U.S. security agencies in Washington to produce a "Security Advisory Opinion," or SAO, before the consulate decides whether to approve a U.S. visa application. As part of that process, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents stationed in the embassies can be tasked to carry out detailed checks in the applicant's home country.

A deeper investigation was not, however, requested for Malik because routine background checks turned up no "derogatory information" that raised the suspicions of visa reviewers, the official said.

In a rational world, Muslims would never be allowed into our country in the first place.  But at the absolute barest minimum, every Muslim visa application would, one would think, be subjected to a full background investigation as standard operating procedure.  That, in other words, WOULD be the "routine background check".

But no.  The Obama Regime doesn't subject Muslims to even their loosey-goosey version of "routine background checks".  They see what they want to see and blind themselves to what they don't, because anything else would be "Islamophobic".  And mass-murder of American civilians is a small price to pay for "curing" our country of "Islamophobia".

It's becoming abundantly clear just how much of a literal cascade failure the Regime's immigrant non-screening process really is:

In carrying out checks under an SAO, ICE agents "may conduct applicant interviews, additional database checks, a physical document review and liaison with local law enforcement officials," said a 2009 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) paper that described the investigation procedure.

In Malik's case, though, since earlier [wholly inadequate] background checks did not raise suspicions, no SAO or field investigation was requested before she was granted a visa to enter the United States as Farook's fiancée, the U.S. official said.

A spokeswoman for the [Commissariat] of Homeland [Ins]ecurity, which oversees ICE, declined to comment. [emphasis added]

At the start of the "screening" process, they avert their eyes, guaranteeing they won't see anything; and at each successive stage thereafter, there's a built-in, reinforcing excuse to do the same thing: "Nothing was found before now, so we don't have to bother with our due diligence either."  Thus have and do thousands of violent jihadists gotten/get waved into the United States, here to form cells, whether of their own accord or at ISIS or al Qaeda or Hezbollah or Hamas direction and instigation, to plot and carry out "lone-wolf" attacks like San Bernardino or organized operations like the 9/11 attacks.

And it isn't just taking advantage of America's traditionally immigrant-welcoming culture; it is being knowingly and eagerly facilitated by the jihadi-symp collaborationists of the Obama Regime.

Remember that if, God forbid, one or more of your loved ones is "fundamentally transformed" into a dead "infidel" like the fourteen victims of the Muslim Bonnie & Clyde.  Your view if Islam, and your "president" will never be the same.
