The inevitable follow-up to yesterday's jihadist shooting of a Philadelphia police officer. Frankly, it's remarkable that it took longer for Jim Kenney to declare that the sky is green than it appears to be taking him to fully reincarnate himself as the late Buddy Hackett:
Prior to the mayor speaking at a news conference broadcast live on all the cable news networks, Police Commissioner Richard Ross took the podium and stated that the suspect confessed to “committing this cowardly act in the name of Islam. According to him he belief [sic] that the police defend laws that are contrary to the teachings of the Koran.” This can be found beginning at 2:20 or so on the video of the conference below.
At 5:12, Mayor Kenney takes the podium, and after expressing his good wishes for Officer Hartnett and praising the police, he states words that will follow him for the rest of his career:
“In no way shape or form does anyone in this room believe that Islam or the teaching of Islam has anything to do with what you’ve seen on the screen. That is abhorrent. It’s just terrible and it does not represent this religion in any way shape or form or any of its teachings. And this is a criminal with a stolen gun who tried to kill one of our officers. It has nothing to do with being a Muslim or following the Islamic faith.”
Even though the suspect himself emphatically insisted that it has EVERYTHING to do with being a Muslim and following the Islamic faith, complete with supporting Qu'ranic quotations. So Mayor Kenney is essentially saying that actual Islam doesn't exist, and some other theoretical/fantasy/mythical religion nobody's ever seen outside of leftwingnut dhimmist UFO/alien abduction-esque re-tellings is the one we're required to acknowledge as "true Islam". He's telling the shooter that he isn't a Muslim. Isn't that kind of Islamophobic itself?
It will come as no surprise to any of you that this douchebag is Islamophilic to the point of being an aspiring harem tranny, and now perhaps even attempting to improperly influence a police investigation and subsequent judicial proceedings and obstruct justice on this jihadist's behalf.
Oh, but he has "good wishes" for the cop his Muzzie friend maimed. Because that's the price we have to pay for "fighting Islamophobia," I guessing.
Exit question: If Kenney needed the Muslim vote to win the Philly mayoralty, isn't that a sobering fact all by itself?
