If there's any drawback to the systematic, piecemeal, drip-drip-drip way in which the State Commissariat has released all sixty thousand Hillary Clinton emails from her bootleg "privatized" email server during her quadrennium as Commissar of State, it is that by the time we reach each successive stage of revelation, every last one of which we knew was coming, each is so unsurprising that it hardly seems to qualify as news. It's all we can do to remember that outside our epistemic bubble, yeah, this is news, and we've got to bullhornedly report and analyze it.
This bit came out yesterday, but I wanted to see what the reaction to it would be from the intelligence community. Suffice it to say, I was not disappointed:
As many as thirty different accounts may have handled the top secret emails on former [Commissar] of State Hillary Clinton's private email server, Fox News reports.
One official close to the inspector general's probe told Fox that at least a dozen accounts on [Mrs.] Clinton's unsecure server were part of email chains discussing the information which [was] classified "top secret." They include top [Rodham] aides Cheryl Mills, Huma Abedin, Jake Sullivan and Philippe Reines and State [Commissariat] Under [Commissar] for Management Patrick Kennedy. [emphasis added]
Discussions, of course, increase the disclosure of classified information exponentially, exposing each and every facet and aspect and detail, rather than just making reference to it and forcing our enemies to have to dig for them. Mrs. Clinton saved them the trouble by hanging it all out in public view, like a load of laundry on a clothes line.
The whole thing borders on treason, does it not? Mrs. Clinton and her cabal - and the entire Obama Regime, since the White House's declaration of executive privilege over the emails between her and Obama pretty clearly prove that The One had to have known about it and given it his blessing - have done what even the old KGB was never able to completely accomplish: Plunder ALL - every last shred of - U.S. classified information into our enemies' eager, waiting hands. Every last secret, every last covert operation, every deep cover agent....EVERYTHING.
How bad is it for the Regime? They're actually admitting that Emailgate is "a serious matter".
That certainly appears to be the intelligence community's reaction, and they are pulling no punches in their apoplexy:
Placement of SAP-classified information on a non-secure server was the “single, most dangerous security violation that can ever happen to the United States,” said Colonel James Waurishuk, former deputy director of intelligence for the U.S. Central Command.
SAP material was “the most stringently compartmented and protected information in the entire U.S. government,” said Waurishuk, who worked on the White House National Security Council during former President George H.W. Bush’s tenure.
Special Forces Colonel James Williamson (retired) told the DCNF that SAP classified documents are “the most sensitive of sensitive information” and that normal classified storage facilities, called Special Compartmentalized Information Facilities (SCIF), cannot provide adequate protection for SAP information. [emphases added]
To say nothing of bathroom servers that lack so much as anti-virus software.
Retired Defense Intelligence Agency chief General Michael Flynn came right out and said what is supposed to be the unpardonable heresy, the absolute unthinkable - Hillary should quit:
Flynn and other high-ranking former intelligence officials told the DCNF they are alarmed that some of the nation’s most highly classified documents contained in a secretive program called the Special Access Program (SAP) were transferred to [Mrs.] Clinton’s unclassified home server.
The documents “had to be moved off electronically or removed out of the secure site physically, then it had to be put onto an unclassified email system,” Flynn said. “Someone who does this is completely irresponsible, but totally unaccountable and shows a streak of arrogance to the American public that is unworthy of anyone thinking they can run for President of the United States.”
“This is unbelievable,” Flynn said. “I don’t think anybody should be talking about her being potentially the next President of the United States.” [emphasis added]
And yet it is at least theoretically possible that she will be. Because we know that she's not going to quit this soon and this easily. If she goes down, she's going to make it as scorched-earthedly difficult and costly as possible, because she will absolutely make sure that she doesn't go down alone.
So here's what we're looking at in and for our next POTUS, assuming Barack Obama doesn't do what we all expect and cancel the 2016 election and decree himself a third term.
1) An(other) avowed communist revolutionary;
2) An authoritarian thug bent on provoking a shooting war with Red China, among other things;
3) A nausea-inducing hybrid of a hideous, elderly Mata Hari and a twenty-first century Marie Antoinette.
Inspired yet....to take up noose-brading?
