I'm guessing O is trying to make everybody forget how fingering the enemy in the Cold War and World War II "played into their hands". I can hear those redacted genuinely historic speeches now: "Mr. Person Who Shall Remain Nameless, tear down some edifice of your choosing at your convenience," and "Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Ferengi Alliance."
Well, they would still have been memorable:

Which he's not fighting, at least to win.
In his weekly media address, Obama said Muslim-Americans are "our most important partners in the nation's fight against those who would wage violent jihad.
aka "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." And shouldn't that be American Muslims? Never forget where their true allegiance lies.
"That's why we have to reject any attempt to stigmatize [American Muslims]....
Like....well, never mind, y'all have already filled in the blank.
....and their enormous contributions to our country and our way of life," Obama said.
Aside from repeatedly trying to blow it up, I'm genuinely at a loss - completely apart from "Islamophobia" - to identify what in the Prophet's diseased scrotum he's talking about. Did White House archeologists dig up a second black oily rock in Peoria? Or find the lost sacred writings of Ali Bringham al-Youngi ("another Qur'an of Muhammed") in a different part of the Great Salt Lake Desert? Was Obi-Ben Frankloni secretly beheading infidels in the mean streets of Paris during the "American Spring"? What?
"Such attempts are contrary to our character, to our values, and to our history as a nation built around the idea of religious freedom. It's also counterproductive," he said.
So our character is now Muslim, our values are now Muslim, and our history as a nation is now built around the idea of religious freedom only for....Muslims. Once again, he conflates his personal traits with those of the country he rules, as all despots do. And yes, that IS counterproductive.
"It plays right into the hands of terrorists who want to turn us against one another - who need a reason to recruit more people to their hateful cause." [emphasis added]
Has the POTUS just finally admitted that he's a terrorist? This IS a banner day. Because his cause sure as shinola is hateful.
Two more for the road: "Embrace inferiority and encourage his confidence," and "All politics is deception."
