Trump Narrowly Trailing Hillary Clinton....In ***Utah***

by JASmius

Will Hillary need Utah to win in November?  No.  Will she carry Utah in November?  Probably not.  Should there ever be a set of circumstances anywhere in our quantum version of this cosmos in which a Democrat is ever within single-digits of a Republican in Utah, the "reddest" State of them all, much less in the lead at any time?  HELL, no.

What does this say about Trump's endless bombast about how he'll crush the Empress in November?  Nothing that Trumplicans want to hear or will ever acknowledge:

If Donald Trump becomes the Republican Party's nominee, Utahns would vote for a Democrat for president in November for the first time in more than fifty years, according to a new Deseret News/KSL poll.

"I believe Donald Trump could lose Utah. If you lose Utah as a Republican, there is no hope," said former Utah Governor Mike Leavitt, a top campaign adviser to the GOP's 2012 nominee, Mitt Romney.

The poll found that may well be true. Utah voters said they would reject Trump, the GOP frontrunner, whether former [Commissar] of State Hillary Clinton or Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is the Democrat candidate on the general election ballot.

While [Mrs.] Clinton was only slightly ahead of Trump — 38% to 36% — Sanders, a self-declared....socialist, holds a substantial lead — 48% to 37% over the billionaire businessman and reality TV star among likely Utah voters.

"Wow. Wow. That's surprising," said Chris Karpowitz, co-director of Brigham Young University's Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy. "Any matchup in which Democrats are competitive in the state of Utah is shocking."

It should be, but it really isn't upon reflection, for all the reasons about which I keep writing and broadcasting.  And I will be writing and broadcasting about all of them again many times over the next seven and a half months, but let me here reiterate those numbers: In f'ing UTAH, Donald Trump, the presumptive "Republican" nominee, is losing to Hillary Clinton, and would get curb-stomped by a communist revolutionary.  In UTAH.

The biggest factor in these terrifying results: Independents.  Hillary beats Trump among Utah indies by seventeen points, and Sanders annihilates the Donald by thirty six.  And I have to think a lot of genuine Republicans would be sitting on the sidelines, as I will be.

As a postscript, Cruz leads both Dems by double digits.  Which is what Republicans do in Utah.

This is what I don't understand the most about Trumplicans.  If there was any evidence, any at all, to back up their hero's boasts about broadening the GOP base, bringing new voters into our ranks, making inroads in "blue" States, I still wouldn't support Trump, but I could understand, if not condone, voters who were willing to sell their ideological souls to be on the winning side.  But there is no evidence of it.  Trump is getting killed in every demographic except white males, is a disaster in "blue" States, and is trailing, by double-digits in one case, in the "reddest" State of them all,   Voting for Donald Trump in any GOP primary or caucus is a vote for Hillary Clinton in the general.  It is inarguable.

Which is why Trumpmania isn't about regaining the White House or "restoring the Republic" or saving the country, and never was; it is about destroying the GOP on behalf of the Democrat Party.  It is a Marxist-Alinskyist coup de tat.

Either that, or a mass, psychotic insantiy manipulated to accomplish the same thing.

I wonder if there are any Trumplicans who will wake up on November 9th and exclaim what Marco Rubio predicted last week: "My God, what have we done?"

I seriously doubt it.
