Obama's Last Minute Land Grab

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Never mind BLM, and the fight to wrestle unconstitutionally stolen federal lands from the Obama administration and give them back to the States who are the rightful owners. . . Barack Obama is using the Endangered Species Act to grab as much land for the federal government as he can on his way out.

Barack Obama has nothing to worry about.  He's at his most dangerous during this final year.  He is doing all he can to destroy the accumulation of wealth by citizens, and to seize private property in the name of saving endangered species'.

He has ordered the like-minded autocrats at the Interior Department to get busy rewriting and making new rules and regulations to further strengthen the ESA – and weaken us.

The goal to protect America's endangered species seems noble, but the federal government has no constitutional authority enabling them to possess State lands without paying for it, with the consent of the State legislature, for the purpose of needful buildings (Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution).

Interestingly enough, the species chosen to be saved just happen to reside on land which could otherwise be used to drill and extract domestic oil, or build a pipeline or a build a border fence.

Now, all they have to do is declare a region a critical habitat to protect such and such species, and bam, the federal government takes control of the land. . . without payment, consent of the State Legislature, and without the desire to place any needful buildings on the property (in violation of Article I, Section 8).
How do you fight it?  Nobody is willing to stand up to the federal government, except a Bundy, and we saw what happened with that.

How many Lavoy Finicums are they willing to execute to get us to stop protesting against their unconstitutional actions?
