Orlando Shooting: Hillary's FBI Gift

Omar Mateen, the Islamic shooter who killed 50 people at an Orlando gay bar, had been in the FBI's radar because they believed him to possibly be an Islamic extremist.  He was declared a "person of interest" in 2013 and 2014.  The investigation was abandoned, however, because of a lack of evidence, according to the FBI.

FBI Director James Comey has been honest about the fact that the FBI has had Omar Mateen on their radar, yet the shooter was not being closely monitored, and he purchased two firearms legally without even the batting of an eyelid by federal officials.  The FBI director said Mateen had been interviewed twice during an investigation.

After the initial investigation, Comey says Mateen entered their radar again when a Florida man who attended the same mosque as Mateen blew himself up as a suicide bomber for the Al-Nusra Front, an Al-Qaeda-affiliated group, in Syria.  Again, Comey said the FBI could find no connection of consequence between Mateen and the suicide bomber.  During the interviews Mateen mentioned videos by Anwar al-Awlaki, a prominent extremist cleric, but they dismissed Mateen's comments.

The FBI director said Mateen dedicated the attack in Orlando to the Islamic State and its leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, as well as voicing admiration for the Boston Marathon bombers.

The public is looking for a scapegoat, and the political pundits are seeking to identify the crack that Mateen fell through when he shouldn't have.  Among the casualties after this is all over will be FBI Director James Comey.  He will be blamed for Mateen not being considered a threat at the time of the Orlando shooting.  The Democrats have been seeking a way to get rid of Comey because he's also been tough on Hillary Clinton during the email investigation.  Remember, Comey is a Bush appointment from 2013.

Hillary Clinton' current entanglement with the FBI may be coming to an end.  With Comey replaced by an Obama appointment, any fear of indictment goes out the window.  She's been defiant in her stance regarding the investigation from the start, knowing that this kind of opportunity must be on the horizon.  Hillary has been saying there is "zero chance" she will be indicted by the FBI.

If Comey is thrown under the bus, and a new Obama appointed FBI director takes the helm of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the likelihood that Hillary Clinton has nothing to worry about skyrockets.

The Democrats had no idea that the Orlando shooting would happen, but the liberal left is an ideology that chases opportunity.  They turn tragedy into opportunity, politicizing everything for their benefit, and this is one of those instances where they will take full advantage of the situation.  The Orlando shooting is the perfect opportunity to throw Comey out, and replace him with someone who will reverse the FBI's stance regarding Hillary Clinton.

In other words, from the Democrat Party's perspective, the Orlando shooting was a gift to Hillary Clinton - a "get out of jail free" card..
