Northern California's Clayton Fire Destroys More than 175 Buildings, Chars 4,000 Acres, Forces Thousands to Evacuate
The person who is suspected of starting the massive wildfire is 40 year old Damin Anthony Pashilk of Clearlake, California. He was arrested on 17 counts of arson and is in jail.
The Clayton Fire has caused over $10 million in damages. Dozens of families homeless. Thousands have been evacuated. Over 4,000 acres have been burned, and the fight to get the fire under control remains in place. Over 1,500 structures are currently in danger. California has declared a State of Emerigency.
There have thankfully been no injuries reported.
