House Committee Russian Collusion Investigation: Case Closed

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Yes, the Russians tried to interfere, but there is no evidence revealing collusion between either party and the Russians.

I find that hard to believe.  The Democrats have been sniffing the crotch of the Russian communists for decades.

However, the official verdict, at least by the House Intelligence Committee Republicans, is that there was no collusion between President Donald Trump’s associates and Moscow’s efforts to influence the campaign.

Russia denies meddling.

Trump has repeatedly denied collusion between his associates and Russia.

Democrats have covered up their connections to Russia for a hundred years.

The Democrats have decided that Russia needs to be dealt with regarding their meddling.

Among the Democrats, 137 of them, over two-thirds of U.S. House of Representatives Democrats, signed a letter urging President Donald Trump to enact sanctions on Russia for its meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.

“We strongly urge you to reverse course, follow the letter and spirit of the law, and demonstrate that the security of our country and integrity of elections are sacrosanct,” the letter said.

They said Trump had missed a January 29 deadline to impose sanctions included in the law, known as the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA).

Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle have been calling for Trump's White House to punish Russia for its interference in the U.S. Election, and to prevent potential foreign interference in the 2018 mid-term elections.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said last week that the indicted Russian nationals could be prosecuted in Russia if they were found to have broken Russian law.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton has shifted her blame-game.  In an interview in India she blamed white women for being too stupid, and for following the advice of their husbands, bosses, and sons.

The Democrat will never put forth a white candidate for the presidency, again.
