An Overplayed Hand

By Douglas V. Gibbs

There will be no blue wave in November.  I am not even sure if it will be a blue trickle.  It is very possible that there could be a net gain for the Republicans in the House of Representatives, and in the U.S. Senate.  In fact, it is possible, no matter how unlikely, that the GOP may even make gains in . . . wait for it . . . California!

The liberal left Democrats can't win in the arena of ideas.  In the past, they have done exactly what A. Ralph Epperson describes in his book, The Unseen Hand.
"Someone once described the deception as, 'One way they look, another way they steer.' The strategy is to promise the American people and to deliver another. Never make it appear that you, the candidate, are supporting socialism, or are a Socialist, even though the platforms you will support after your election are indeed socialist in nature. And you must never deliver so much socialism that the American people will discover the exact nature of the game and remove you from office."
"The reason the socialists must deceive the unsuspecting citizen was made clear by the London, England, Sunday Times which stated that Socialism was defined as: 'competition without prizes, boredom without hope, war without victory, and statistics without end.'"
"In other words, most people don't want Socialism and they don't wish to live under the Socialist economy, so the Socialists must resort to trickery and deception, by a series of lies offered to the people by lying politicians."
A few pages later, on page 51 of The Unseen Hand by A. Ralph Epperson, it reads:
"The socialist machine slowly climbs the ladder to total control of the market place."
In other words, the hard left, recognizing that in the United States, openly admitting who and what you really are if you lean leftward, is normally a political no-no, didn't dare reveal their true Marxist and morally depraved nature.  Liberal left progressive ideas are losing ideas in the realm of politics in the Land of Liberty.  But, the Democrats have gone so far to the left, and have decided they have convinced Americans that their leftward and satanic ways are mainstream, and they have convinced themselves that their platform is fully acceptable to the public at large, that the masks are off, and some of them are simply spewing what they want, without fear of consequence.

Americans, for the most part, are disgusted by it.  The younger generation, while largely supportive of Democrat Party personnel, are beginning to see through the leftist fog and are realizing the dangers of what the Democrats are pushing.

The Democrats are overplaying their hand, and the sickening reality of who and what they are is repelling the American public away from them . . . and towards the no-nonsense businesslike conservatism that Trump is trying to embrace.  As a result, conservative leaning Democrats are changing parties.  The cross-over voters who are running for membership in the GOP even includes many of the younger folks who have just completed their leftist indoctrination in the public school system, and members of communities the Democrats thought they had a lock on.  Just ask Kanye West and Chance the Rapper.

The liberal left belief system is detrimental to our economy, devastating to our national security, and sickening at its very core.

Michelle Wolf revealed much of that at the recent White House Correspondents Dinner.  And, while the liberal left is largely apologizing for her performance, it's not because they disagreed with her, but because she revealed too much about who they really are.

That said, Wolf is eating up the publicity, for even her disgusting and shameful brand of humor has an audience.  Fortunately, for America, those who do pretty much appreciate the sick humor of Michelle Wolf are a small minority, mostly creeping around in the deepest and darkest corners of the worst part of society . . . they are also known as true liberal leftists.
