The Definition of Truth

What is the truth to people who are willing to lie, deceive and misdirect in order to achieve their ends?

The liberal left Democrats have become desperate.  We are years into their investigation searching for a crime that does not exist, and no evidence has emerged.  They have placed bear traps all around the Trump administration, and no traps have been solidly sprung.  Now, after a bunch of interviews of liberal left Obama holdovers, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has a whole litany of versions of what the Democrats claim happened during the 2016 Presidential Election in terms of Russian collusion, and all that has happened is that a brighter light has been shining on their own crimes of collusion and foul play.  Their crimes have been ignored and pushed aside because it doesn't matter if each of the versions presented are hearsay, and if they have no evidence supporting the story they want people to believe is the truth.  Since the people giving their testimonies (like former FBI Chief James Comey) used to be "respected" members of the Obama administration and U.S. Government, as far as the Democrats are concerned, their word is gold.

Now, Mueller wants to interview President Donald J Trump while he is under oath.  Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York, a former presidential candidate for the Republican Party, and Trump's top lawyer warned against the interview, calling it a "perjury trap."

President Trump echoed Giuliani's concerns in a separate interview.  If anything Trump says does not match other testimonies when compared, Trump believes it will be used against him with claims by the Democrats that the President committed perjury.

The Democrats hate Trump, so for the purpose of perception, in their eyes he must be always lying, and their allies must always be telling the truth.

It doesn't matter what the truth really is.

“Even if I am telling the truth, that makes me a liar,” Trump said. “That’s no good.”

Remember, the truth is not ultimately what the liberal left Democrats are looking for.  They are looking for creating their own truth, because the truth is only what helps them achieve their aims, and right now those ends are the termination of the Trump presidency so that they can resume their trajectory of fundamentally changing the United States into something the Framers of the U.S. Constitution never originally intended.

Trump has nothing to hide, but that's not what they are after.  In their eyes he is guilty, no matter what, and they will stoop to any low to make sure they convince everyone of the same.

Trump has not necessarily told us he will, or will not, let Mueller interview him under oath, but Trump is aware that the truth has nothing to do with any of this.  It doesn't matter what he says, the liberal left Democrats through political and media means will do everything they can to try and use the information against him.  They don't care what the truth is, just as long as you believe their version of it.

I was fortunate, once.   In 2014 MSNBC interviewed me, but they never aired it.  I am solid enough in my constitutional knowledge that they couldn't edit the interview in such a way to make me look bad, so they didn't air it.

In the case of Trump, he doesn't have the luxury of only one team gunning for him.  The entirety of the liberal left has banded together to try and bring him down, and they are willing to use as much deception and misdirection as they can to make it happen.  You can't reason with the unreasonable, and you can't clarify when clarity is not the goal.  Trump is smart to not give in.  He's right.  It doesn't matter what he says in an interview with Mueller, the liberal left will do everything they can, and tell every lie possible, to corner him, and try to add to their push to impeach him.

Their hate has nothing to do with truth, or what's best for this country.  Trump is simply an obstacle to their ongoing coup ... an obstacle they did not expect, and they don't believe they can move forward with their socialist takeover of the United States until he's out of the way.  Simple as that.
