News: Airport Security Across The United States

By Douglas V. Gibbs

On Sunday a man walked through an exit lane of a screening checkpoint at Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey, revealing to many how lacking security truly is. Later reports also indicated that security cameras failed, as well.

Today at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport a bomb-sniffing dog reacted to possible explosive material on a piece of checked luggage from an inbound flight. Later officials indicated that there was no security threat after all.

In Bakersfield, California the airport was shut down because a hazardous material was found in a checked bag.

Most alarming, however, is the latest security news regarding America's airports from Seattle, Washington. Michael Yon, a military blogger that is best known for reporting as an embedded journalist/blogger with the military overseas, was handcuffed at the Seattle-Tacoma Airport for, get this, declining to say how much money he earned.

Excuse me? These idiot security people are making this up as they go. The leftist encroachment of liberty against the people is mesmerizing - and they say they are doing this in the interest of security! What about the Muslims? How is it that a Muslim terrorist who was even reported by his father at a U.S. Embassy was able to get on a flight bound for Detroit, but an American with identification that is obviously not a member of the indentifiable Muslim Jihad is handcuffed because he won't relay his own private information regarding his income?

This is the advanced vision American Liberalism in action. Look the other way when individuals belonging to the enemy group we are at war with gets on the planes, but dig into the personal business of American Citizens, and handcuff them for refusal, in the name of security.

Yet they can't even get their cameras to work in Newark.

A comedy of idiots.
