Jefferson: We Must Not Let Our Rulers Load Us With Perpetual Debt

"To preserve independence...we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and Liberty, or profusion and servitude. ... The fore horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follow that, and in its turn wretchedness and oppression." --Thomas Jefferson

In the real world, spending more than you take in ends in disaster. The Democrats, however, fail to live in the real world. . . and spend and spend and spend.

They wish for a government monopoly on all things.

This is why they fear Paul Ryan's budget. It reforms government programs, using privatization.

Cut some spending now, or we will be forced to cut all of it through austerity measures later. . .
