ObamaCare Site Has Major Security Flaws

by JASmius

The beat goes on....

A respected security expert will warn Congress on Tuesday that the Obama administration's healthcare website has security flaws that put user data at a "critical risk," despite recent government assurances the data is safe.

"There are actual live vulnerabilities on the site now," David Kennedy, head of computer security consulting firm TrustedSec LLC, told Reuters ahead of his testimony at a Congressional hearing on the topic "Is My Data on HealthCare.gov Secure?"

Kennedy, a former U.S. Marine Corps cyber-intelligence analyst, said his firm has prepared a 17-page report describing some of the problems. It does not go into specifics in some areas, he said, because that could provide criminals with a blueprint for launching attacks....

Kennedy and other security experts have warned that vulnerabilities on the site pose risks to the security of user data since shortly after its October 1st launch.

At the end of last month, a September 27th government memorandum surfaced in which two U.S. Department of Health and Human Services officials said the security of the site had not been properly tested before its launch, creating "a high risk."

When the memo surfaced on October 30th, government spokeswoman Joanne Peters said steps had been taken to ease security concerns since the memo was written, and that consumer data was secure.

I'll say it again: This is THE biggest fraud in American history, public sector or private sector, (heh) PERIOD.  People have gone to jail for decades for offenses orders of magnitude smaller than this.  Bernie Madoff looks like a kid shooting marbles on the playground at recess by comparison.  If the equivalent scam had been perpetrated in the private sector, Democrats would be rolling guillotines onto the Capitol lawn.  Stalin's purges of the 1930s would have been mumbledy-peg alongside their partisan wrath.

But themselves?  Their "god"?  They're morally perfect by (their own) definition, enforced by the police power of the state only they are entitled to rule.  So....shut up.

But people are not shutting up.  These predations, these attacks, are happening directly to millions of Americans, not being reported to them through the White House propaganda filter.  And because of that the Obamedia is having to actually report on it, removing any viable possibility of spinning it off to "bad apple insurers" or "obstructionist Republicans".  When they rammed this down our necks, Democrats, it not even occurring to them that it could be anything but an unqualified success precisely because they were the ones running it, didn't want to share the idolatrous public adulation that they were sure was to come, and so deliberately shut Republicans out of the legislative crafting process (and just on general "I won" principles).  It was all theirs, and now that proposition doesn't look so hot anymore.  And it's only going to get worse.

You know that O-Care repeal Overton window I keep talking about, the one that's moving rightward at (for politics) superluminal velocities?  I think it just added a quantum slipstream drive.

Here's today's bombshell:

Henry Chao is becoming the John Dean of ObamaCaregate, isn't he?  The Regime still hasn't built 30% to 40% of healthcare.gov, including payment systems.  Do you realize that they have no more means of billing for, collecting, and accounting for individual mandate penalty payments than the do the premiums on their overpriced, overrated "plans" on the exchanges nobody can access?  Which, I suppose, is the silver lining for what Americans have somehow managed to enroll who think they're covered but really aren't.  Although, having had the plans they liked banned and leaving them uninsured by direct presidential order, that will be of small consolation.

Including this pathetic wretch:

Awwww; poor Jessica (Julia?) Sanford voted for Barack Obama.  Twice.  In no small part because he promised to "give" her health insurance (from his "stash," I'm guessing).  She had never had health insurance because she couldn't afford it (mean, sexist, old free market!).  Then Barack Obama gave her health insurance....almost.  She was so grateful that she sent so worshipful an email to The One that he decided to use her as a propaganda prop.  And now she has no health insurance after all.  Tiny Tim will not get his operation.  The Cratchets will have no turkey for Christmas dinner.  There's no room at the inn.

Awwww.

Sucker.  I don't know about you, but my heart isn't exactly bleeding for this empty-headed woman.  But I do like her story, because it's just the latest succulent morsel of evidence that the implosion of ObamaCare, and the Democrat Party right along with it, is accelerating.  And that means that repeal is becoming more and more "realistic," and it may not be long before it becomes inevitable.

As promised on today's excursion in blogcasting awesomeness, the perfect visual depiction of the Patient Predation and Unaffordable Care-Less Act....

....and Barack Obama's eternal reaction to the burgeoning, full-throated consensus for repeal.

In a gallows sense, the next year is going to be more fun than the golden age of Monicas.
