NEW YORK (CBS NEWS) -- There's been an explosion and partial collapse of a building in East Harlem, the FDNY told CBS 2.

The incident took place near 116th Street and Park Avenue. The FDNY says there is a fire at the location and smoke could be seen rising from the area.

There's no word yet of injuries. It's still unclear what caused the explosion.

"The building shook and then we looked to see what was happening. We saw a whole lot of smoke. A lot of smoke came out," witness Samuel Paul told CBS 2. "There's a lot of dark smoke still coming out. A lot of fire engines I saw going to 125th Street." "The smoke started to rise. It looked like something fell because it wasn't like a fire. It just looked like debris smoke, similar to 9/11," Paul added.

CBS New York reports that Metro-North crews are checking nearby train tracks for any debris that may have fallen in the area. Hudson Line service in and out of Grand Central Terminal is delayed until further notice.

The bomb squad is responding as a precaution. So far, there are reports of 11 minor injuries.
