Walid Shoebat: Benghazi Suspect Arrest Scandal

By Douglas V. Gibbs

President Barack Obama has a knack for creating scandals.  Either, the man is completely inept, or he is destroying the American System on purpose.  I think it is a little of both.

Sometimes, the scandals aren't so obvious, but the deviousness and deception, coupled with the selective reporting by a complicit media, are present just the same.

According to Walid Shoebat, a former Muslim that is a public speaker on the dangers of Islam, the capture of the lead actor in the Benghazi, Libya slaughter of four Americans as an American consulate was rocked by a pre-planned terrorist attack, is dripping with scandal.

Shoebat's website delivers the shocking news in a fact-driven manner.

"Last summer when CNN reporter Arwa Damon interviewed Ahmed Abu Khattala, the suspect behind Benghazi attacks (whom Obama just arrested) was freely roaming the streets in Libya without any concern for being picked up. Now the timing of the news of his arrest should be cause for skepticism."

Walid Shoebat reveals that the group that Khattala was a part of was also the very group "assigned to and entrusted to watch over the U.S. embassy."

The group that attacked the Benghazi compound was made up of members of the group entrusted to protect the U.S. Embassy.

"Ahmed Abu Khattala was a commander with the group that attacked the Benghazi compound. He had also been a leader in the group charged with protecting the compound.

Witnesses said they saw vehicles with the Ansar Al-Sharia logo at the scene of the attack, and that Ansar al-Sharia commander Ahmed Abu Khattala was present. Khattala was once the leader of Al-Jarrah Brigade, which formed the February 17 Martyrs Brigade."

The State Department conceded an Egyptian connection to the Benghazi attacks when it identified the Jamal Network as a terrorist organization.

There is no disputing the fact that Khattala was at the scene of the Benghazi attacks and that he is an Ansar al-Sharia commander who was involved. There is also no disputing his close connections to the terrorist group the U.S. State Department put in charge of security of the SMC – F17MB.

The Obama White House has referred to Benghazi as a phony scandal.

Conveniently, Khattala has been roaming free and giving interviews to mainstream media entities for nearly two years without consequence.

Meanwhile, the Obama administration is working to resurrect the video narrative, using Khattala to do it.  After all, what could be better than the “lead suspect” admitting the video did have something to do with the attacks?

As the attack in Benghazi was unfolding Khattala told fellow Islamist fighters and others that the assault was retaliation for the "insulting" video.

In an interview a few days later, he pointedly declined to say whether an offensive online video might indeed warrant the destruction of the diplomatic mission or the killing of the ambassador. “From a religious point of view, it is hard to say whether it is good or bad,” he said.

However, at the time it was also reported the protests outside the embassy in Cairo were not about the video; they were about demanding the release of the “Blind Sheikh” and had been taking place there for several weeks.  The fact that the riots were on the anniversary of 9/11 was never considered by the press, or the Obama administration.

Apprehending Khattala is a distraction from what’s going on in Iraq, the bogus claim that the IRS lost Lois Lerner’s emails, and the Bergdahl disaster. It’s already widely known that Khattala has been roaming free since the attacks. The timing of all this is suspicious based on that alone.  Apprehending a “lead suspect” in the Benghazi attacks is something the American people will inherently approve of.  Getting Khattala to point to the video would constitute the perfect “gotcha” moment.

Obama desperately needs a win, especially after the Bergdahl disaster, and the VA scandal.

Another suspicious point is that one of the actresses in the anti-Muhammad video – Cindy Lee Garcia – has come forward to claim that the maker of the video – Nakoula Basseley Nakoula – told her twice that he is a Muslim.  This claim isn’t just a stand alone charge. It corroborates nearly all of the research by Shoebat since the attacks.  If Khattala is going to blame the video, he will be pointing to a Muslim filmmaker as the culprit.

Nakoula was a federal informant for Eric Holder’s Justice Department beginning in June of 2010. The stated purpose for him becoming one involved his assistance in helping the Feds catch his partner in crime – Eiad Salameh. Nakoula received a reduced prison sentence after being convicted on that 2009 bank fraud charge. The problem is that Eiad was apprehended in 2011 in Canada and the Feds didn’t want him.

Watch carefully.
