Colorado: Homosexuality Uber Alles!

by JASmius

Well, this couldn't be more blatantly unfair.  They're not even bothering to cloak their justice-mocking bias.

I guess the Centennial State's new motto is, "Discrimination for thee and not for me, but only if to Jesus Christ you bend your knee":

A bakery in Colorado will not be punished for refusing to bake a cake requested by a Christian activist that included quotes from the Bible denouncing homosexuality

Azucar Bakery in Denver was found not guilty of discrimination by the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Regulatory Agencies when it refused to make a cake requested by Christian activist Bill Jack.

In comments sent to the Christian Post on Sunday, Jack denounced the decision by the Civil Rights Division and its use of the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act.

“Colorado prosecuted Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakeshop for bringing his Christian faith to bear in his decision not to bake a "wedding" cake for a gay couple, yet business owners who decide to refuse service to a Christian wanting Bible verses on cakes are exonerated by the state,” stated Jack.

“CADA is being used to censor Christian business owners’ free speech and is being used to coerce them to participate in events that violate their consciences.”

Jack added that he’s “in the process of filing an appeal with the CCRD” over what he calls “hypocrisy and unequal treatment before the law.”

Last March, Jack went to Azucar Bakery and made a request for two cakes that had biblical messages, including a statement and image denouncing homosexuality.

In an interview with CP in January, Jack described what he wanted, noting that contrary to initial reports he did not request a cake with the statement “God hates gays.”

Well, that's good, because it would have been wildly inaccurate.  God does not hate homosexuals; He hates sin.  Which includes homosexuality as well as every other manner of illicit sexual activity, plus greed, lying, envy, gluttony, blasphemy, hypocrisy, cruelty, etc., etc., etc.  And, this just in: We are ALL sinners.  Every last one of us.  The entirety of humanity, past, present, and future.  Which is why God The Son had to come to this planet, be miraculously born of a virgin (so as not to inherit the sin nature passed down to the rest of us from Adam through our fathers), live that sinless life, in order to take all of OUR sins upon Himself so that we might be forgiven for, and cleansed of, them - if we choose to do so.

Yes, salvation is a choice.  Each of us can choose to confess our sins, receive Christ's forgiveness, and live for, and spend eternity with, Him in His wondrous, glorious presence; or we can choose to love and embrace our sin instead, reject and rebel against Him and what He did for us, and ultimately pay the price for our sins ourselves, which includes eternity in the Lake of Fire, forever separated from Him.

It is a choice.  And in Colorado, choice is what has been taken away from Christian business owners.  Should Azucar Bakery be compelled to make Bill Jack's cake?  Absolutely not.  They should be free to provide or deny service to anybody for any reason.  But then so should Masterpiece Cake Shop.  Especially since there has never, EVER been demonstrated or proven ANY "injury" inflicted upon ANY homosexual "couple" from a Christian baker, or photographer, or caterer among countless others of those professions who will gladly, um, "service" them (and pastor - they're gonna be targeted next, mark my words) "choosing to obey God rather than men" by, not attempting to disrupt homosexual "nuptials," but simply declining to participate in them.

But then, that was precisely what Bill Jack was attempting to illustrate.  Not that it will do much, if any good in practical terms.  But just so everybody is on the same page about the tyrannical drive for homosexual dominance and the anti-Christian pogroms to come.

In Colorado, that "ball" is already rolling.
