Memories Pizza Walks Their Talk

by JASmius

This wasn't supposed to happen.  The Left set out to destroy Memories Pizza for the unforgivable "sin" of adhering to biblical principles and opposing sodomarriage.  They didn't even decline to participate in homosexual nuptials.  They just said, "We don't believe in that".  And for that they were supposed to be wiped out, their restaurant stormed and trashed and burned to the ground, their family financially destroyed at a minimum, and perhaps, ultimately, martyred en masse.

Instead, the O'Connors' brothers and sisters in Christ, and any non-Christians who still value genuine liberty, rallied to their defense and chipped in almost a million dollars to offset the economic damage the Lavender Lobby's hate barrage did to them.  For which, naturally, the latter immediately smeared them as having deliberately set up as a pity scam, even though it was the reporterette who entered their establishment and plied them with blatantly entrapping questions.

So what are the O'Connors doing with that eight hundred forty two grand?  They're "passing it forward":

The pizza parlor owners who received death threats and were subjected to an online hate campaign will reopen for business tomorrow with the backing of $842,000 from well wishers and a defiant message that they stand by their opposition to gay weddings. They were going to open today but were advised to hold off for security reasons.

In an exclusive first interview inside Memories Pizza restaurant since it closed down last week, owner Kevin O’Connor and daughter Crystal emerged from hiding and told Daily Mail Online they had been heartened by the support of 29,000 people who donated and many more who wrote to them.

Note the emphasized passages.

They revealed they are set to share their new fortune with disabled children, a women’s help group, fire fighters, police trusts, Christian churches and Washington florist Barronelle Stutzman, 70, who was fined after declaring she would not serve a gay wedding.

They are living out their creed, and putting into practice what they believe - with this (small) fortune every bit as much as their "defiant" message, which is simply an embodiment of what the Apostles Peter and John told the Sanhedrin in Acts 4:19-20: "“Whether it is right in the sight of God to give heed to you rather than to God, you be the judge; for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

It won't "count," of course, because the O'Connors are directing not one thin dime of their well-wishing windfall towards any LGBT causes.  Since they won't pay that "protection" blood money, the "gay" targets will remain on their backs.  But as Paul taught Timothy:

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.  For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.  For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.  Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.

Sounds like it was pulled from today's headlines, doesn't it?

With extra cheese.
