Reset!:
President Vladimir Putin lifted a ban on the delivery of S-300 air-defense missile systems to Iran as Russia pushed for repeal of an arms embargo following an agreement on the Islamic [Empire]’s nuclear program.
Putin repealed its 2010 prohibition on S-300 exports to Iran, the Kremlin said Monday in a statement on its website. While the two countries had signed an $800 million contract for the systems in 2007, Russia halted delivery after the United Nations imposed an arms embargo three years later.
The S-300 is a “purely defensive” weapon and delivering it to Iran won’t “threaten the security of any state in the region, including, of course, Israel,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday, the Interfax news service reported.
A bland, meaningless statement. Nobody ever claimed that the S-300 air-defense missile system was an "offensive" weapon or that it posed a "threat" to any other state in the region "including, of course, Israel". Iranian nuclear weapons, on the other hand, do precisely that, especially "including, of course, Israel," and providing the mullahs with the S-300 air-defense missile system would dramatically complicate the IAF's task of taking out, or even significantly degrading, Tehran's nuclear infrastructure and program. Which Minister Lavrov and Czar Vlad know perfectly well, as that's why they're moving forward with providing the mullahs with this boon to their air defenses - with the full approval and blessing, undoubtedly, of the Obama Regime.
After all, why does O need to bother "exerting influence" when "President" Putin is so eager to exert the kind of influence they both want exerted? As long as it's only Jewish pilots who will die en masse, that's one more "mission accomplished" banner for the Oval Office.
