CBS News/New York Times Poll: Race Relations Bad, Getting Worse

by JASmius

No!  It can't be!  It's not possible!:

Sixty-one percent of Americans believe that race relations are generally bad in the United States — and 44% think that they are getting worse, according to a new survey.

In the New York Times-CBS News poll of 1,205 adults, 65% of blacks and 62% of whites said that race relations were growing more troubling.

Forty-six percent of whites said relations were worsening, compared with 41% of blacks. But 42% of African-Americans surveyed said relations remained the same, compared with 37% of whites.

The survey was conducted July 14th-19th and has a margin of error of three percentage points.

So there's general inter-ethnic consensus that we're headed towards Barack Obama's long-sought race war.  That might be interpreted hopefully as an indication that both blacks and whites see what Obama is doing in poisoning race relations in America.

By drooling Pollyanna fools, that is.  This is what is known in statistics as an equivalency, because the respective groups arrive at their near-identical conclusions from diametrically opposite directions:

"I'm not surprised it's gotten worse under President [Barack] Obama," Elizabeth Gamble, thirty-three, an African-American woman who works as a cook in Albany, Georgia., later told the Times, "because he’s black [sic] — and so he already had that strike against him once he got into office." [emphasis added]

Even though he was elected on the overall strength of white votes.  But other than that, yeah.  Because he's been SUCH a racial healer and unifier.

That racist schism runs through every question (I've distilled them to three essences):

Are police protectors of the American people?  Whites 81%, Blacks 51%

Are cops racists?  Blacks 84%, Whites 47%

Are police racist mass murderers who hunt "niggers" for sport?  Blacks 79%, Whites 37%

The politicocultural soil for a nation-destroying racial conflagration has been fertilized and cultivated to perfection.  All that remains is for the White House to provoke the spark, and martial law can begin.
