Is it not remarkable that the more German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her government double down on their Islamophilic, nationally and culturally suicidal open borders policy vis a vie Muslim "refugees," the more fascistic they become? And that the "extreme right xenophobes" protesting the horrific consequences of that Islamophilic, nationally and culturally suicidal open borders policy with entirely justifiable outrage are the ones acting in Germany's best interests, and are receiving police beat-downs for their trouble?:
Chanting "Merkel out" and waving placards with slogans like "Rapefugees not welcome", xenophobic German PEGIDA protesters vented their fury Saturday against [Muslim]s after mass sexual assaults on New Year's Eve.
My apologies, folks, but the AFP sneering and smearing permeates the entire story.
Amid clashes with police, the far-right protesters took aim at Chancellor Angela Merkel, accusing her of allowing [Muslim]s to run amok through her liberal stance towards those fleeing war.
And justifiably so, since they're not "fleeing war" but bringing it to Germany and the rest of Europe at "Mama Merkel's" engraved invitation, and it's the German volk that are paying the price for it.
Tensions escalated when followers of the movement - about half of them violence-prone hooligans, according to police - marched and hurled beer bottles and fire crackers at police, screaming "where were you on New Year's Eve?"
First, I'm skeptical of those police reports, given this level of bias and the crackdown on free speech imposed by the German government this week. Second, I question just which side was the first to initiate the violence, the "hooligans" or the polizei . And third, yes, where were the latter on New Year's Eve? Because they sure as scheisse weren't protecting German frau.
Riot police beat back the agitated protesters with batons, teargas and water cannon in clashes that left three police and one journalist injured and in which police detained multiple demonstrators.
For "re-education," perhaps?
"Merkel has become a danger to our country. Merkel must go," one speaker earlier told the 1,700-strong crowd, which loudly echoed the call, expressing their anger at Germany's 1.1-million-strong [Muslim] influx last year.
Indeed. And just to provide a little additional perspective, you know how the Obama Regime and other Democrats talk about wanting to import Muslims into our country in the low six figures annually this year and beyond? The equivalent number to what the Merkel regime took in last year would be 4.35 million. Enough for a small Muslim town in every county in America, only distributed forcibly throughout our communities and neighborhoods, with all the same results. You think there's anger here over illegal immigration now? And isn't the wonder that there aren't more such protests all over Germany?
"Tolerance is the final virtue of a dying society," read another banner in the protest, organised by the local chapter of PEGIDA, the self-styled "Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the Occident".
The heated protest was held in the Cologne railway station area that was the scene of the New Year's Eve assaults, at which witnesses described the perpetrators as people of "North African or Arab" appearance.
That adage, strictly speaking, is true. I would use Captain Kirk's remark to Lieutenant Uhura in "The Trouble With Tribbles" where he told her, "Too much of anything, Lieutenant, even love, isn't necessarily a good thing." Tolerance is all fine and good as a general proposition, but it can be taken too far to the point of refusing to make moral judgments and forfeiture of common sense. In the case of Angela Merkel and her government, it's being taken to the outskirts of treason itself.
Exit question: Whose side, quite literally, is "Mama Merkel" on?
