Red China Militarizing Their "Artificial Island" Forward Bases

by JASmius

One more thing the Obama Regime is both "unwilling and unable to rein in":

Any move by [Red] China to fly jet fighters from runways on its new man-made islands in the disputed South China Sea would be destabilizing and would not deter U.S. flights over the area, a senior U.S. naval officer said on Monday.

The ChiComms putting air bases on these fake islands being "destabilizing" is the whole point of the exercise, actually.  And the White House won't be deterred from sending U.S. flights over the area until the day that Beijing begins operating those air bases, after which John Kerry will "open negotiations" for the withdrawal of the U.S. from the western Pacific.

Vice Admiral Joseph Aucoin, the commander of the U.S. Navy’s Seventh Fleet, also urged Beijing to be more open over its intentions in the South China Sea, saying it would relieve “some of the angst we are now seeing”.

“We are unsure where they are taking us,” Aucoin said of [Red] China’s recent moves during briefing with journalists in Singapore.

"More open"?  The ChiComms have annexed over a million additional square miles of (maritime) territory, constructed artificial islands all across it, and are militarily fortifying them.  It's difficult to imagine how they could possibly be more open about their intentions, wouldn't you say, Admiral?

“So we are going to sail, fly, operate throughout these waters….like we have been doing for so long,” he said.

Until the ChiComms tell you to get out.  And then you will either comply or they will sink your ships and shoot down your planes.  Which is to say....Obama will order you to comply.  Because he doesn't start wars, he "ends" - and ducks (just as Vlad Putin and Bashir Assad) them.  And ALL of our enemies know it.

By the way, that military fortification includes surface-to-air missile batteries.  Just thought you'd like to know.
