We, of course, know that the planetary climate is cooling, not warming to any degree whatsoever. But any green shoot of science and sanity that can penetrate the gray pavement of hysterical "climate change" dogmatic ideologicaly orthodoxy is heartily welcomed and desperately needed:
A controversial new study suggests global warming may be trending more toward "lukewarming" than the kind of significant temperature rise projected in other models.
University of Dublin meteorologist J. Ray Bates’ study warns "that to disregard the low values of effective climate sensitivity (1°C)… is a standpoint that needs to be reconsidered" – a challenge to findings from the United Nations that doubling human emissions would cause anywhere from 1.5 to 4.5 degrees Celsius of warming, the Daily Caller reports.
"As a lukewarmer, I am always enthused by new works that tend to add more evidence to that conclusion," Chip Knappenberger, a climate scientist at the libertarian Cato Institute, tells the Daily Caller, "This work definitely does so, as it now stands."
According to the Daily Caller, the new study also reaffirms work by Richard Lindzen, an MIT climate scientist who found in 2011 that less than one degree Celsius of warming would occur from doubling atmospheric CO2 concentrations.
The science debunking "global warming," in other words, is becoming more and mores settled. Which is why the "climate change" fascists are getting more and more delusional and, yes, "denialist" about the overwhelming evidence against their campaign of fraudulent power grabs, and restorting to more and more blatant police state tactics to suppress fact-based dissent.
Its evocative of Thomas Jefferson's adage in a letter to William Roscoe about about not being "afraid to follow truth wherever it may lead, nor to tolerate any error so long as reason is left free to combat it." Greenstremists are not willing to allow such freedom, nor tolerate reason, for fear that their erroneous, jackbooted Agenda might be impeded in the slightest, much less derailed and thwarted.
It is, again, not about warming or cooling or science, but about power and control. And they will do everything within and without their power to ensure that power and control never slips from their ironfisted grasp.
I wonder what personal smear is coming Mr. Bates' direction. Whatever it is, we will shortly find out what it is.
