Obama is like a jilted lover trying to do as much damage as he can on the way out. He is even convinced he was not only a good president, but that he could have beaten Trump in the 2016 Election (if he had been allowed to run). Among his latest destructive moves as we approach the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as President of the United States was to join the United Nations in its attack against Israel's sovereignty.
Seen as an abandonment of Israel, President Barack Obama's administration has not only refused to block a United Nations resolution demanding an end to the building of settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, but also by helping in crafting and pushing the resolution. The White House states that the accusation is false, and that the co-crafters with the Palestinians has been Egypt. . . one of the countries under Muslim Brotherhood control thanks to Obama's failed Middle East foreign policy.
By abstaining from a UN Security Council vote, and refusing to use America's veto, Obama has succeeded in further undermining our relationship with one of our longest historic allies.
The move follows Obama's other monstrosity of a move, the signing of the controversial Iranian nuclear deal.
Obama's relationship with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, has been bitter, and seemingly spiteful, at best.
As the Obama administration stabbed Israel in the back, President-Elect Donald Trump has been arguing strongly for a veto, calling the resolution “extremely unfair to all Israelis”.
The disputed areas, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, were captured by Israel during the Six-Day War in 1967. Since Israel captured the territories, Palestinians and Israelis have both erected numerous settlements. Both sides of the conflict over the regions argue that the settlements by the other side are illegal. Palestine (I hate using that term because technically it does not exist, but for the purpose of clarification I must use "Palestine," and "Palestinians" in this article) contends that the only way to settle the dispute is for Palestine to be granted statehood, and for all Jews to be ejected from Palestinian territories. Barack Obama's refusal to block the U.N. resolution signals an agreement on his part with the two-state solution, and the concept of kicking Israel out of the disputed zones that serve as a buffer between Israel's interior, and the vicious Muslim forces that surrounds the small Jewish nation.
Obama's political opposition called his move reckless. Even members of his own party said the same. Chuck Schumer, the incoming Democratic leader in the US Senate, a person who normally disgusts me politically, said of the refusal to use America's veto at the UN, “The administration should have vetoed this resolution.”
Mr. Trump on Twitter said: “As to the UN, things will be different after Jan 20.” January 20 is the date Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the next President of the United States.
David Friedman, Mr. Trump’s choice as ambassador to Israel, said Washington will not pressure Israel to curtail settlement building. Mr. Trump has also vowed to not only recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, but also move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
A senior Israeli official said, “The US administration secretly cooked up with the Palestinians an extreme anti-Israeli resolution behind Israel’s back which would be a tail wind for terror. This is an abandonment of Israel which breaks decades of US policy of protecting Israel at the UN, and undermines the prospects of working with the next administration of advancing peace.”
Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said, "Israel rejects this shameful anti-Israel resolution at the UN and will not abide by its terms. The Obama administration not only failed to protect Israel against this gang-up at the UN, it colluded with it behind the scenes. At a time when the Security Council does nothing to stop the slaughter of half a million people in Syria, it disgracefully gangs up on the one true democracy in the Middle East."

“I will stand with the Muslims,.. While not exactly his exact words they certainly do ring true based on his actions against Israel during his 8 years on the "throne".
Once again he has left another mess for POTUSE Trump to clean up before he can begin on his plan to rebuild the America that Obama has systematically destroyed over the past eight years. His constant pandering to the UN on issues against Israel certainly have not made relations with Israel better nor have they contributed to any attempts to bring peace to this part of the world. Of course those of us who know and understand the writings of the Prophets in the Old Testament know that there will never be peace in this region and in the New Testament it is confirmed that peace will not come until the return of the Son of God.
There will be calls of Peace, Peace but there will be no peace. "They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, Saying, 'Peace, peace,' But there is no peace.
The interlopers called Palestinians are not a true group of people but a band of thieves who disguised themselves as merchants and plundered and set up businesses along the coast of the land belonging to Israel. They came from Mediterranean islands and have no Arab roots . The Arab blood came only after inter-marrying but even that gives them no rights to the land of Israel. I shall leave that topic for another day.
We can only hope that POTUSE Trump can untangle the web of evil and destruction that Obama is weaving in his last days.
