California Democrats and Child Prostitution

According to the Washington Examiner, as of January 1, 2017, prostitution by minors will be legal in California.

SB 1322 bars law enforcement from arresting sex workers who are under the age of 18 for soliciting or engaging in prostitution, or loitering with the intent to do so. So teenage girls (and boys) in California will soon be free to have sex in exchange for money without fear of arrest or prosecution.

This law follows the 2016 Election during which in California the Democrats seized a two-thirds "supermajority," which essentially gives the liberal left "carte blanche" to do as they please legislatively.  The Democrats claim some poppycock explanation of protecting children by calling them "victims" instead of "prostitutes", but in reality their law is a move to legalize underage prostitution, creating a predictable consequence of human traffickers taking advantage of the idiotic law, thus, incentivizing the increased exploitation of underage girls. Immunity from arrest means law enforcement can't interfere with minors engaging in prostitution, which translates into bigger cash rewards for the pieces of crap putting these girls on the streets in the first place.

As Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O'Malley, a national leader on human trafficking issues, told the media, "It just opens up the door for traffickers to use these kids to commit crimes and exploit them even worse." Another prosecutor insightfully observed that if traffickers wrote legislation to protect themselves, it would read like SB 1322.

Minors involved in prostitution are clearly victims, and allowing our law enforcement officers to pick these minors up and get them away from their pimps and into custody is a dramatically better solution than making it legal for them to sell themselves for sex.  The new law renders law enforcement powerless to stop the cycle of abuse.

In California, SB 1322 is only the beginning of disastrous liberal left progressive legislation that is coming down the pike.

Democrats are also working to increase dependency upon government with an expansion of California's welfare system.

Gun Control laws that essentially lead to full gun confiscation are also likely to also be the California Democrat-led State Legislature's next move, something they've already begun.

If the Democrats continue to hold the supermajority beyond the next election cycle, California will be the next failed Detroit or Venezuela, thanks to the misguided utopianism being pushed by Marxists in the State - if they aren't able to collapse California earlier, within the next two years.
