The illegals aren't the only ones crossing the border

According to CNS News.com members of the Mexican military cross the border between Mexico and the United States regularly as they partner with drug cartels and criminal gangs in order to protect drug smuggling operations.

Diplomatic dialogue with Mexico has accomplished nothing.

There is no nation in the world that would allow this invasion to occur except for the United States.

What is even more shocking is that many of these Mexican soldiers collaborating with drug cartels in an apparent effort to safeguard drug shipments were trained in the United States.

Regardless, it seems that these soldiers are lured by the money offered by the cartels. The amounts of money offered by these criminal organizations is probably much more than these soldiers could ever make in a lifetime.

And with the latest weakening of our borders, the drug cartels are becoming bolder, and are diversifying operations to include the smuggling of both narcotics and humans.

The Mexican Embassy continues to refuse to comment, the leftwing members of the United States government continues to refuse to recognize that such a problem exists, and the Republicans refuse to take the necessary actions to stop the bleeding.

I wonder what will happen when these people begin to smuggle weapons of mass destruction and Islamic terrorists into the United States. Will the politicians finally realize the need for a more secure border then?

Doubt it.

As Ronald Reagan once wisely stated: "A Nation without borders is not a nation."

Yeah Doug, we are in deep trouble here. Iraqi's, Al-queda what else is here already?

When the next attack occurs on our soil, odds are it comes in from our southern border, the blame game will start... All fingers wil point to the Bush admin. but a deeper look will reveal the ACLU, the liberals and the environmentalists will all have to share the blame.

It's Canada!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Douglas.

This post points out just one, in the long litany, of reasons we must take border security seriously immediately.

I must, however, somewhat agree with Mudkitty to the extent that the Canadian border indeed presents a great security risk.

Both borders should be secure.

Hi,
Had to come and check things out... I believe I may have popped in here earlier ( last night?). In any event I have been screaming about the borders since 911. That should have been the first thing locked down, but did they? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....I swear I look at the idiots in DC and wonder if they ALL arent TRAITORS!
It appears they are all working to destroy this country, and Americans as well.....

BTW Reagan was the greatest President!

kc I agree, Reagan is the greatrest president: "A nation without borders is not a nation" is one of my favorite Reagan quotes.

MK, holy cow, I agree with you on something! Yes, Christopher pointed it out, Canada needs a secure border as well. This isn't about racism, or immigration, it is about keeping our nation safe and sovereign.

Great post, Douglas. And you are right on target. This just popped up on NBC:

Immigration Officials Investigate Iraqis' Arrival At Border

Happy New Year!

Actually, while I AM serious about the fact that border security fanatics should be concerned with 2 borders and 2 oceans in order to have any credibility what so ever, I was actually attempting to be satircal, but ended up being sarcastic, in a lame attempt at humor (as in "the Russians are coming, the Russians are coming!) But hey, if you have to explain a joke, that means it was a lousy joke to begin with. No?

I know - it's going to be hard to agree with me again.

You obviously went to the John Kerry school of joke delivery.

'You obviously went to the John Kerry school of joke delivery.'

I love it! The illogical, sarcastic, dim witted remarks continue.
Brilliant!
Very amusing!
