The Dying GOP

After my interview of Alan Keys last Friday Night on Political Pistachio Radio, I was criticized by a number of listeners regarding my comments that the Republican Party is salvageable, and that by trying to create a third party founded with conservative values, we will be simply splitting the non-Democrat vote, thus ensuring more years of government expansionism and socialist tyranny. There is hope in fighting for the GOP. It has not gone completely over to the dark side, yet, has been my argument.

Then I came across an article titled "It's Official: Republican Party abandons its morals."

The newly elected Republican Party Chairman in Massachusetts has determined that the homosexual community need not worry about the Republican Party opposing them on "social issues" or "the culture wars."

Meanwhile, the Iowa Supreme Court overturned the vote of the people (it still amazes me that people believe a group of men in black robes dictating their will over the people is totally acceptable and constitutional) and made gay marriage legal in Iowa. In Vermont the legislature legalized gay marriage by overriding the governor's veto. And of course, on its yearly march to indoctrinate the children, The Day Of Silence is being planned to take place in most public schools on April 17.

The Democratic Party has adopted their richly endowed base of gay supporters, and have become the party of gay marriage.

The argument used by the gay community, of course, always winds around to the bans of interracial marriages generations past. But the two are nothing alike. Unlike interracial marriage, gay marriage asks persons of faith to surrender a core belief supported by numerous pieces of Scripture. And the societal pressure on religion has been immense. So much so that some congregations have been turning their backs on Scripture and are accepting the homosexual agenda as something inevitable. Even Rick Warren, while on Larry King Live, has recanted his support for the Protect Marriage position.

Understand that this campaign of in-your-face homosexuality is intended to silence Christians, and overrule the majority opinion. This is not a peaceful agenda that simply desires rights. Gay Rights is a thuggish propaganda machine that is willing to stoop to the lowest levels to force acceptance of their fetish driven lifestyle upon the American people. They rioted when Proposition 8 passed, and attacked people because of their support of such legislation (as I was three times - 1) Gay supporters vandalized my truck and house, 2) Homosexual protesters slammed their fists on my hood and on my driver's side window as I tried to leave church the Sunday after Proposition 8 passed, 3) I was hit in the head through my open window with an object thrown at me in my big rig in West Hollywood because of my Yes on 8 sticker on the back of my rig), and silence Christians with hate crimes legislation as is already happening in Canada and other parts of the world.

If Massachusetts' Republican Party Chairman Jennifer Nassour's words that essentially indicated that the social issues are being abandoned by the GOP spreads to other states, and throughout the party, then perhaps I am wrong, and the elephant is indeed a waste of time to save.

Perhaps.
